My Dad started me crappie fishing when I was 4 years old and I am 49. I have found them laid up in so many places like that over the year and they can be so much fun. Fishing a jog under a cork is actually a great idea and works particularly good on a windy day as the waves tend to work your jig up and down. One thing I have learned over the years is when you find Crappie stacked up like that use just a pin drop of super glue on your jig body and it will last twice as long. Eventually, you will have to change but the plastic bodies just come apart anyway. Just an idea

My grandfather virtually lived on the lake he would go night fishing for crappie, catfish, bream, and pretty much anything that would bite (except any bass species) come back home early morning take a nap do some chores and back on the lake by the evening. He knew where the fish were how deep etc just an all around fisherman and would bring a cooler full of fish home. Since he’s passed fishing just isn’t the same but we do still try to do it from time to time. My dad loves eating crappie and has been going out of his mind trying to get some to eat. I showed him the video and about a minute and a half into it he walked off in disgust throwing all the fish back. Nevertheless great video keep up the good work.

Used to catch black and white crappie here, but since the zebra mussels cleared up the water in south Michigan I haven’t caught a white crappie in years. Matter of fact less crappie in all our waters. Huge bluegills and yellow perch though.
@lorenzoboyland53412 жыл бұрын
Here's a tip when using crappie jigs on jigheads. If you're on an insane bite and want that jig to last almost forever, try this method. Cut the collar off jighead. Take about 1.5 inches of dental floss and start wrapping from head back towards hook point about 10-12 turns, then backtrack towards head. Tie a double knot and clip off excess. Insert jighead into jig as straight as possible. Back it back out until you reveal the floss. Using super glue (I use LocTite waterproof), place about 4-5 drops along floss then reposition jighead into jig. Allow to dry about 4 mins or so. Now you're ready to fish and catch multiple fish with just a single jig.
