I don't go up to mid lake often. I grew up fishing mid lake with my dad, but the summer storms make it a little risky coming from the west end of the lake. We had some great fishing spots in the area though and I would love to try some of them again. If you see me out, please come up and say hello. I usually fish from my pontoon boat all summer. How come you arent using niblets like you normally would be using when the bite is a little tough?

Good observation! I only use nibbles when I have to use them. First, I would like to say that Hook Legends Jigs are marinated in my own special bite sauce, so the taste should be embedded deep into the bait. I can tell from the aggressiveness of the fish whether I need to use it or not. I also, use the nibbles when I suspect bluegill are hitting and want to put a few in the cooler. Slabs and large bluegill will sometimes share cover. Thanks for the question and for watching!

Sorry for the late reply. I replied but I must have forgot to hit the reply button. I will eat them and find them very tasty, but I have never cleaned one in my life. Those fins are dangerous in the hands of an untrained catfish cleaner. Thanks for the comment and for watching!
