Everyday, written by Don Powell, Slade drummer, will put you on your ear. It is very mellow. How does it Feel is also so nice. Underrated is a definite understatement !

Far Far Away, How does it feel, and Everyday might also positively surprize you. Although even the classic Slade singles are actually pretty good as well, Coz I Luv You particularly so.

Noddy had one of the most amazing Voices of all time. So versatile from loud rock to soft and gentle. I love all there songs but one of my favourites which shows of his voice is one called .ooh la la. And of course get down and get with it

In 2011 I got married. This was our opening song. I've thought it was a funny song because the lyrics start very intimit but then they change into this 'All Together-hymn' that nobody expected. I love Slade! Did you know that when Bon Scott of AC/DC past Noddy Holder was the first one they called to replace him. He refused because he was very loyal to his bandmates.

Slades stats are mind boggling, in the early 70s they achieved 17 consecutive top 20 hits, which included 6 number 1s. Don Powell was always an underrated drummer, he’s right up there with Sweets Mick Tucker, and Queens Roger Taylor. The really underrated member was the quiet one Jim Lea. Lea was the most accomplished classically trained musician in glam rock. Apart from one of the band key song writers he was also responsible for playing bass guitar, keyboards, piano, violin (his first love) various guitars, as well backing vocals. Noddy Holder, was offered the possibility of replacing the late Bon Scott as lead singer with AC/DC, before the gig was given to Brian Johnson. If you fancy another Slade classic try Far Far Away.

This song was always an anthem for us on the left. During the time it was released, the right wingers were in power and decimating the middle classes in the UK and the US. Thatcher and Reagan, two pieces of work. I don't mean to wax political here....but it is what it is. I was 16 in 83 and remember this song very, very well.

@@imrmediagaming2479 opps, I didn’t mean that the way it came over. Sorry. When I said get in there, I meant get stuck into the music and learn about the completely insane variety of music we had then. It was loud back then. We were a noisy generation. 🙂
