Finally, a bike that is listed as modified and the guy in the video doesn't start explaining where his new stickers and leds are. Great mods, very nice looking bike

I think its amazing that you took the time make your wifes bike comfortable for her...F all the haters and wanna be bikers on here most of which cant even afford the mods you did to the 250..thumbs up
@TheCBurtz11 жыл бұрын
People always bash the 250. I started on one and they are super fun to ride, nimble, light, great in the twisty stuff. As long as your on two wheels who cares! If she's not going to upgrade why not mod it out, make it your own.

one the coolest ninja 250r i've seen, i have a 250r as well, if it was my forever bike, i'd put money into it as well, but since it is not, i'm waiting until I upgrade. props to the mods, looks awesome.
@InCloseFighter11 жыл бұрын
If you guys are still in Oklahoma, your husband can help me when I buy my first bike. I'm looking at a 250. I want the new 300, but if I can't get it, I want a '09-12 Ninja. First time rider and I want to be safe, so I feel 2 years or so on a Ninja will prepare me for a bigger bike if I ever want that later on down the road. Your bike is funky though. Man that's nice. Pure sexiness right there. You guys did a good job on that....no doubt.
@chadrepsol13 жыл бұрын
we didn't think she'd ever want to upgrade...my wife is only 4'10" and weighs 90 pounds we didn't think she'd ever be able to ride a bigger bike but she's doing so well on this one she'll be able to move up to a bigger bike for sure...the lowering links and seat HAD to be done...and who knows, she may not want a bigger bike just cause she can ride one, she loves this bike - and she's totally worth the best bike i could give her
@ivanmendoza731210 жыл бұрын
good job with the all your mods man, screw the haters

finally a legit repsol w/ a silver swing arm. i see regular fireblades with repsol fairings all over town haha. nice bikes!
@chadrepsol13 жыл бұрын
@iTheGeek, it's the tires that flip the bike and hopefully it never gets that far, the frame sliders have saved the fairings many times when she's just dropped it
@chadrepsol13 жыл бұрын
@TheBarberjustin it wasn't too much money to make her comfortable on the bike - all the mods were for her "comfort" level - the height adjustment, the seat, the loud exhaust, the after market mirrors with blinkers, frame sliders...she's getting her money's worth out of it for sure - it's now her daily driver, and she gets the "thumbs up" everyday - she's lovin it
@chadrepsol13 жыл бұрын
@dameinxya it is what it is, she's only 4'10' it, HAD to be lowered that much until she got comfortable riding it, since then we raised it an inch and will continue to raise it a little at a time (a small turn on the dogbones). She is now peg-legging all the time to get used to riding with it a bit taller - it only rubs now on rough rail road tracks or really rough roads - it's made her a better rider - she can handle the bike great and stands up on the pegs over rough spots

I love what you did with her bike, daddest 250 i've ever seen.
@chadrepsol12 жыл бұрын
@vulture12 we didn't get the steering damper cause it was lowered - that was to prevent highway shake (which it does) and to help with steering shake on gravel roads (which it does) so all the mods do what they were intended for. the bike cost - total, $7000.00 - well worth it - to us anyway and that's what matters.
@chadrepsol13 жыл бұрын
@albertjuniustauvic it performs great, it's definitely loud and throaty - you can definitely hear her coming and you can really tell its a racing exhaust - we're happy with it and everyone says it sounds great - will post a fly by soon, we just can't ever remember to do that

@jwade9454413 жыл бұрын
thats great that you did most of the mods yourself and dont let people get into your mind about why did you do all those things on a 250r its your wifes bike and speed is not a factor its the look of the bike,i have the zx-6 zx-11 as well as the 250r and in my eyes there all fast and when people fall off a bike a bike is a bike right on bro dont never depart with it kawasaki has made a wonderful bike in a timeless style.

and to all you people who have good things to say, thank you...it was built with love and my hubby wanted my 'plain' 259 to hone and look nice and it's not as low as it was in the beginning...it's raised 3inches now and I have no problems with it...EVERYONE says it fits me perfectly!! So THANKS to my hubby for a GREAT bike- be it beginner bike or one I'll ride for years.
@chadrepsol13 жыл бұрын
@13mordeth - thanks! my wife watched your "how to ride" videos and got a lot of tips that she still uses daily...so thanks for the videos, she is a daily rider and has nearly 3600 miles on her bike in 6 1/2 months - that may not seem like alot but she tries to put at least 150 miles a week on it, even though we only live 3 miles from her work - so not bad
@chadrepsol12 жыл бұрын
@lengsmusic - it has two one inch for risers on it, so its lowered 2 inches

@01Commenter10 the fairings are the same color as the 1000 and what makes it the "special edition" is the green seat
@chadrepsol13 жыл бұрын
@RUBBERGLOVE293 - the SE (Special Edition) on the 2010 model is because it has a green rear seat, and the fairings are the same as the 1000 - thats what makes it the SE (Special Edition)
@chadrepsol13 жыл бұрын
@Hemi4127 - thanks for the tip - guess i should delete this one then and do a "redo" to bleep out the tag - never thought of that and yep your right, she does love her bike - she loves her taillight - but now she wants the new ZX10R...she tried one that had been lowered and stretched and LOVES it - she has 3800 miles on hers (since late April) - she says when she get 10000 on this one she will be ready for a G - i think she's ready now
@chadrepsol12 жыл бұрын
@flamingflattier i don't know, you'll just have to sit on one - rule of thumb that we read is that to ride a bike you need to be able to sit on it and pull the kickstand up

His wife's enjoyment of the bike supersedes whatever notions you may have about what one should or shouldn't do with a "beginner" bike. Besides, most of the people I've encountered that have rushed into a 600cc+ sport bike haven't been anything approaching an accomplished rider in anything other than their own minds.

@HOLLYSSNDUHx we chose soupy's because they could be lowered more - it could be lowered 4 inches instead of 3 inches - but we eventually have settled for it to be lowered 3 1/4 inches and i think she wants to raise it 1/2 inch now
@chadrepsol12 жыл бұрын
@mmmmuffinman - thanks, it handles fine for her - i ride it and i think she has the steering damper too tight, but hey, its her bike and that's how she likes it - she has no problems with the handling.
@chadrepsol13 жыл бұрын
@yanksman159 - the steering damper prevents the "shakiness" at high speeds on the interstate and stabilizes the bike at high winds that we get in OK - she likes her steering tight - it's too tight for me, but thats the way she likes it - its her bike
@chadrepsol12 жыл бұрын
@billmacy09 - no it doesn't clip - its been raised about 3/4 on inch so its only lowered 3 1/4 inches now but even then it didn't clip

She agrees and wishes her's wasn't so loud too - she has to wear ear plugs. She didn't want it so it wouldn't sound like a 250 but so that people would hear her coming - and they do for sure, on more than several occasions people have stopped from pulling out in front of her because they have HEARD her not seen her - but yeah, she wants a quieter exhaust. We're having problems getting it tuned right - how did yours turn out?
@chadrepsol13 жыл бұрын
@thailan09 - i lowered it in the front by adding 2 sets of one inch fork risers - pushed the forks up into the risers.

your steering stabilizer isn't connected to the bolts by the tank? if it's just connected to the stem cap, then it wont help against tank slap. maybe i just dont see the bolt. i know those things are pretty expensive. (at least for my bike) just asking in case there's a second way to hook it up.

We actually picked up two Ninja 300's a few weeks ago. The price of those 636's were too much. Add in that we're new to riding, it just made sense to go with a 300 for now. Does your wife still have this bike, or has she upgraded? Since we're both in Oklahoma, would you mind helping me out with mods and stuff? You seem like you know a lot about this stuff and what to do and I'm nowhere near where you are in terms of knowledge and what have you.

@maximus10463 since it was her first bike - the 250 was the best choice and while she's driving it, it might as well be the best - and even if she does move up to a bigger bike (which she is wanting the new zx-10R slammed and stretched really bad, she'll still keep this one for "in town" riding - it's just a fun bike for sure
