you have to let the springs settle. when i dropped my honda it took 2-3 days for it to settle about half way and by the end of the week my car slammed itself lmao. thankfully i bought coil overs so i could adjust them to have no gaps. highly reccomend coil overs in the future for better ride, handling, and looks. i’m about to place an order on bags for the 392. nice video !

Yeah the car settled in now and sitting nicely. I would've loved to get coilovers but they're expensive so I went the cheaper route. I also wanted to keep the stock driving feel so the springs makes it feel stock still. Thanks.

I would suggest getting printouts of the alignment before and after you take it to the shop, a lot of places will try to pull some tom foolery on you.

I have a 2012 G37xS Coupe (original owner) and a few years ago I lowered the car on Tanabe NF210 (NF : Natural Feel; 5% stiffer than stock / modest drop) In early May I changed the shocks because the car is 10 years old now on the stock shocks and they were done. The car has only 59K miles never winter driven and is in showroom condition. I replaced the OEM shocks and kept the lowering springs. After a week the car developed a creaking sound that sounds like crickets for a brief moment only for 2 - 4 seconds while accelerating...not aggressively but not soft either and only from the driver side. My head mechanic heard the sound using the scopes and was sure it was coming from the top as did another mechanic down here in SW Florida where I'm currently located for about one more month. I was advised to change the upper control arms (comes with bushings and ball joint) on both sides which I did last week and after spending close to $1k the sound is still there. I called KYB (the car is AWD) and the tech there said it was probably the upper plate and mount. He thinks the rubber sleeve that holds the shock spindle is worn down and that's what's making the noise. However my head mechanic doesn't agree. They recommend waiting until I return to diagnose it again. One thing everyone agrees on is that it's not the lower control table. Thanks for any help....

Question for you, if you can help, I have an aftermarket exhaust (magnaflow I think, came with car), and the rear portion sweeps down a bit to clear the LSD. About 3.5-4 inch clearance at the lowest point. If I lower it with spring, It would lower another inch at the back, might really hurt daily drivability. Wondering how your experience has been in daily driving the car, and speed bump issues? On the underbody how is your clearance, 4 inches off the ground at lowest point?
@yayasgarage3 жыл бұрын
I have not looked the under the car since I installed the lowering springs but it shouldn't be too bad. I don't bottom out very often. Speed bumps are rough. I know the magnaflow sits pretty low so it might scrape going over speed bumps if you lower it on these springs. But overall, I'd say these springs are very good for daily driveability

did you have to get camber arms and if so which ones

I did not originally but I just bought them and will be making a new video on it soon. I need them to get my camber aligned to OEM spec

What’s the tires size I like the way they look and do you have any spacers on ? Thanks man!!
@yayasgarage3 жыл бұрын
I actually have terrible tires and the wrong setup. The previous owner put a square setup with 245 all the away around. Will purchase 275 for the rear and 245 front with a staggered setup soon. Will make it look much better. And yes I have spacers. I believe 25mm front and rear

I love them. They're very comfortable and make the car look much more aggressive. Potholes and speed bumps can be a bit rough sometimes if u hit them fast but overall very daily drivable
