Thanks for another fine Mopar video. Back in the mid 70s my buddy had a 65 belvedere with a slant 6. We called it "The Jet". It was dark green, it looked like shit, smelled bad and the passenger door was jammed shut due to somebody t-boning it slightly. But it got us back and forth to high school and we had wheels to offer girls rides. It was amazingly reliable and some girls would actually get in it with us rather than walking. We had it made.

I learned to drive a stick in a green '73 Dart Swinger Special, /6, 3 on the tree, way back in '74.

Nice! I had some times in a ‘74 sedan almost just like this one with a three on the tree. I learned about trying to shift gears with gusto… don’t. I got the shifter bound up many times, with the transmission stuck in first gear. Just a little embarrassing. I actually just bought back this boomerang ‘72 Dart which was originally a slant six, three on the tree Swinger Special. Those are neat cars.

The only engine that gave me any problems was a 74 slant 6 and I have hated them ever since
@DeadDodgeGarage2 жыл бұрын
Interesting. I have had many of them, and while they always misfire, don’t want to idle and sound like tractor engines, I’ve never had major problems with one. Well, except that time I sent a rod through the side of one, but that was operator error involving half a can of ether…
