Totally agree - this is where I come when I want to see WA kits painted before I buy them! And I know he is honest in his reviews, which is always welcome

Looks great! One thing i wanna suggest about shaking the paints so they mix into one solid color again after sitting for a while, I haven't tried it yet but i feel like one of those cheapo massage guns would probably work as a cheap way to shake the paint up without turning your arm to dust from shaking it yourself 😂

1:30 The gun of the STL on the left is based (heavily) on the Pancor Jackhammer automatic shotgun (1984). 9:20 In addition to a (Four Es) vortex mixer, I also have one of those cheap 'nail polish' mixers, where you secure the pot on a cradle with a rubber strap. I find that better (and my painful joints thank me) because I can just let it go for a few minutes to break up the sediment (mixing balls included) before switching to a regular blast on the vortex.

These guys quickly became a favorite of mine. And I quickly amassed a good amount of both plastic and resin Spacenam dudes.

There's quite a few Guard guides up on the channel already; you're a little spoiled for choice! 😜

I am impressed with the many options you get with the Wargames Atlantic figures and you can use the extras for other models. The painting looks great and the stl figure sculpt is really interesting. Thanks for sharing this.

Can never have to many guard tutorials! I have the plastic kit, didn’t know about those other guns in the resin version. They’re so much cooler :(

In truth, I kinda prefer the plastic-styled rifles; they're a little less obviously inspired by something else, and a handful of Spacenam dudes can fill in for near-future stuff really easily as well.

Thanks for showing the sprue.
@SonicSledgehammerStudio9 ай бұрын
There's not all that much to show off once I'd murdered half of it, unfortunately. 😅 But at least WGA's got way more detailed photos on their site. I only ended up with the one sprue, so I had to hack into it to even start filming!

The Spacenam kit isn't the most cost-effective kit from Wargames Atlantic (likely a product of sharing revenue between companies). But they're still most cost-effective than buying Catachan squads from GW. They look loads better, too. AND give you more special weapon options. (Though obviously the actual unit named for Catachans only lets you use Flamers; so use your other weapons for bulking generic Infantry squads).

Mirroring is great for variation indeed, I always do with vehicle stowage stl's. U can never have enough stowage imo, specially smaller scales like 15mm vehicles😄

WGA makes some really excellent sprues, naturally it's logical that a plastic sprue has limited poses, consider the cost for a 3D printer, when these will be as easy to use as an ink jet 's one, it will be the paradise for us humble modelers. These figures are amazing, and some sites offer also 3D prints of female not-Cathacians, the only drawback of WGA's jungle fighters is that their arms are too huge respect other figures, so you can't use other arms for conversions.

Another fun watch! I still think these SpaceNam aren't for me; I've outgrown the Arnold look (I'm always game to rewatch Predator though!). They look way too cartoony for my taste. The final comparison shot reminds me how much more awesome the Ooh Rah are, possibly my favorite military scifi kit ever.
