Excellent lesson, I'm a huge fan of Slash and I've never heard anyone play as close to him as you. I hope you continue to make video lessons, they are awesome. Thank you my friend.

Hi Golan. It seems to me that one of Slash's main solo techniques, when applicable, is to seamlessly move in and out of the minor pentatonic and minor harmonic or minor to major. What scale are you employing in this lesson? This sliding technique is mandatory for the solo in Sweet Child O' Mine. Great Lesson!!! :)

hey man, since you are a hardcore slash fan, i've been meaning to ask this: i have a les paul with slash's pickup set (both neck and bridge). the only thing bothering me is the bridge pickup's tone knob. in order to achieve slash's recording lead tone, at which knob position would it suffice? is it full on 10 or halfway between 6-5? i myself find that if rolled back to 5, it gets easier to shred above 12th fret. what do you think?
@JJGerrish7 жыл бұрын
Hey man just thought I'd reply to you because I have some knowledge on this, I was looking for the same answer and I saw on a forum once that Slash sets his bridge pickup tone knob to 4.5, i've done it ever since and it sounds perfect to me and have stuck with it since! Hope I could help you :)
@christopherhusada90587 жыл бұрын
man, you're right. i've tried it since i read your reply, and it does make huge difference. thx a lot for the info. how about the neck pickup knob position? (assuming i uses alnico 2 slash)
@JJGerrish7 жыл бұрын
Christopher Husada neck I usually have on 6-8 but I'm not too sure about it
@christopherhusada90587 жыл бұрын
same here. i'm just used to 7-6. sometimes (depending on the song) i rolled back a little more to 4 to sweeten the tone
