it’s so interesting cause the elf doesn’t feel like any long lasting moisture for me but the nyx fat oil is SO moisturizing on my lips even after it’s gone, it feels like it works like a balm or treatment on me so that’s so crazy how different formulas work on different lips!

Same the nyx fat oil is my personal favorite, I think the darker colored ones are less nourishing and tacky but the more natural and pinkish colors are perfect

i’ve tried all these besides the color pop the elf one is amazing i just wish there was more shades lottie london is very thin and sheer and feels the cheapest milani is my fav it smells amazing and the colors are really nice nyx is very pigmented but is definitely the stickiest

The colourpop lip oil is the only thing that is consistent in healing my chewed up, crusty, super dry lips, and the desert-like skin around them! I have been using balm after balm, HATED the Nyx, and just used the colourpop on a whim because I ❤ their blushes and glitters. It needs to be recognized! 😄

The Elf one is my new favorite gloss/oil formula. The tiny bit of cooling, the slippyness when you rub the applicator over your lips. It's amazing I 100% always recommend it(I work at ulta)

I LOVED the elf lip oil it was so smooth and hydrating on my lips! The nyx fat oil was so pretty to i was scared to try it because it seemed dark but it matched my lip color perfectly!❤️

If you get a chance, try Pacifica’s lip oils. They’re solid like in a lipstick bullet. They feel great (yet very different from most lip oils) and have a sheer color to them.

I just got a Lottie London I’m excited to try I haven’t opened it yet I’ve been using NYX follow back for a long time now LOL since it came out. After trying all I these myself I found that I fell in love with the Lottie lip oil. I thought I lost it for a while and actually shed a tear over it since it’s hard for me to get. Thankfully I found it 2 months later in the pocket of some pants I had folded away, it felt like the best day of my life lmao.

I think Milani might be good. I like the elf one too, but I hate bright cherry shades on myself. If they have a neutral brown or plum, I think I would go with that one first. But yes, those two brands seem to offer better quality. Although I did try the Milani limited edition Pumpkin Spice fruit fetish lip balm, it was in a squeeze tube, and I didn't care for that one. It was more of a tacky balm gloss. Didn't hydrate. Literally, nothing has ever hydrated my lips, as they are chronically cracked, and don't absorb moisture. I'm not sure why. The closest I got to hydration was the Ciate London watermelon lip oil. So, hopefully the elf is a dupe for example? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Perhaps a thinner formula would actually sink in a little more easily, like CP. Also it may be worth getting a hydrafacial so they can infuse hydration into them. Definitely a splurge but if it bothers you a lot it could be worth it to treat yourself!

I'm on my 2nd CP lip oil. I didn't like the NYX one and everything I've tried from Lottie has been a bust. I'm sticking with CP because it does sink in and moisturize. If I have to reapply I don't mind. I'm just having a hard time finding them now. Hopefully Target will continue to carry many shades cause that's the only place I can find them...

Honestly the nyx lip oil doesn’t do it for me. I cant frel the oil in the lip oil. Its mosturizing sure but i just dont like the way it feels on the lips. Compared to the Elf one

I’ve reacted to many and I mean many lip balms and glosses they just dry me out and it takes a long time for my lips to go back to normal. Stuck with Carmex forever. Even though a lot of money has gone down the drain decided to try NYX since I use a lot of their product. And yep lips moisturized all day how?!!! I didn’t even know that was a thing. I mean even Carmex has to be reapplied like 5 times a day or so. Sorcery!!!!!! 😅

Just depends on what you want. The tinted one is nice when you want a little color or are incorporating into a makeup look. The transparent one you just get the shine + nourishing effects.
