@@SofiaSurprise98 yeah. i watched the michelleShow reaction on “hi ren” bc i was intrigued to see why someone would hate this. and i said something like “i genuinely feel sorry if you’re not trolling and actually feel this way, because it must be hard to go through life with that kind of mindset” you can dislike it sure, music is subjective, but you can NOT “hate” rens songs, because he’s a bright light in the music genre right now

Dotta isn’t picking on anyone, it’s the hip-hop scene you go up against each other to prove who’s the better rapper, it’s like a dance-off but with rap. It’s not personal it’s banter, it’s humour. It’s also how less popular rappers get attention by battling with more established rappers. If Ren didn’t reply it would have meant that he did want to give attention to Dotta ‘cause he thought he wasn’t a good rapper. If you are from the Hip Hop scene you know, a lot of Ren fans don’t understand the hip hop scene...

My favorite is him giggling and apologizing and then going "SO COME ON FATTY 🏃" 😂 I love him. That's the best diss track ever. And the first of it's kind. Has slams, but all tongue in cheek, giggly apologies because it's all in fun, and just all out respect. Good job, Ren. 🤌

This couldn't be more Ren. He shows that he CAN compete, commands respect and then delivers his own message of community. I absolutely loved this. As he says, "A rising tide lifts all ships." I think that's the mantra of many of the Renegades after hearing him say it on his million subscriber video. This man's heart ... HUGE. BTW, Dotta brought the fat comments on himself in his diss. He picked at Ren's health, called him too skinny to lift bars, which sucked because Ren took this challenge while under some challenging medical treatments. And also ... ummm... Ren is NOT skinny. He is lean and absolutely ripped, it just doesn't show unless you watch something where he's wearing close-fitting clothing. So ... there's that.

Enjoyed your reaction, Ash. The back story is a "beef" between Knox, King Dotta and now Ren. All three raps have good bars. Knox's one is in the style of Eminem's Stan! I love how Ren goes Acapella with this, destroys Dotta but then throws a genuine olive branch! Yesterday, I listened to someone who reacted to Dotta and Ren then phoned King Dotta live. He came across as an alright guy, said he enjoyed Ren's diss, favourite bit, the "put down the cake". He also said he enjoyed Ren's 'Murderer'.

Favorite lyrics from it: "There’s a new counter culture, in this world of division. Where we bicker over politics and race and religion. There is war, there is peace, that's a human decision Either you can be my brother or another collision And the media they love it when we hate each other Cos the money lines their pockets if you're not my brother And this black versus white that's divide and conquer. Ignorance, it is formed in the womb of monsters If there's war in the east then the streets are getting paved If there's war in the streets there's a mother at a grave If I pander to my ego then I'm just another slave A casualty of vanity hate just breeds hate"

Ren's apology is a very British thing to do, the use of the bagpipes is a reference to the decapitation that goes back a long way in British history if you have ever watched the film Brave Heart it will make more sense....Enjoyed your reaction, Ash. Thank You!

"Amazing Grace" never was associated with executions in Britain, and as to William Wallace, the tune was written in 1779, Wallace died late 1305. It gets used at funerals, but the song about a someone's come to Jesus moment during a pretty violent storm at sea. In this it starts out as a funeral dirge because Knox, and ends up enforcing Ren's grace in his closing comments.

@@johnbelcher7955 and @rog2224 Maybe I'm reading too much (or little) into the bagpipes, but here goes: The pipes themselves are unmistakably Scottish, (der) and are nearly ubiquitous at Scottish funerals. The title character of (the 'bard') Shakespeare's 'Scottish play' ends up losing his head, figuratively and literally. Also, Ren notably references Macbeth in 'Losing it': "I’m about to go beast mode, I’m about to go Macbeth..." The tune itself, I suspect, could be taken as a reference to the 'amazingly graceful' spirit that Ren shows towards Dotta in the end. I mean, that's just what jumped out to me, but I'm only an expert on violin and Macintosh, not bagpipes and Macbeth...
@johnbelcher7955
@johnbelcher7955 Жыл бұрын
@@violincredible we think of the bagpipes as Scottish but have a long history, before ancient Greece and seems from what I understand from sources have their own independent origins, from Iran, Tunisia, Macedonia and beyond. Ren does have a habit of linking parts of songs, who know what happens in the mind of a genius 😁

A lot of the drama originated between Dotta and Knox Hill. If you watch the reaction of this that Knox just dropped, you can learn more about the background. Ren and Dotta agreed to battle through an exchange of comments I believe after things got stirred up with the MichelleShow channel. Dotta’s Ren diss track was released (“Kingdom Come”) and he included a shot at Knox, which prompted Knox to drop 2 Dotta diss tracks. They were brutal 😳 So that’s why Ren staged this as a funeral …. He has such a flair for the dramatic 😹 I think Ren wanted to honor the battle rap culture, but flipped the script like no one else can. I saw Dotta on a reaction channel livestream shortly after this was released and he was laughing, especially at the cake jab … he actually had red velvet cake for breakfast that morning 😹 He gave Ren props and a ton of respect on his page and in subsequent comments. That’s what battle rap is supposed to be … go into the ring, throw your punches, and shake hands after the match 💥 🥊 It’s actually the perfect compliment to the Murderer release. I’m excited to see the acoustic version of Murder Ren will be releasing this week!!

That was really interesting. My experience of battle rapping here in the UK is that it's nearly always a capella. Almost like battle poetry! Love to see your reaction to 'Mark Grist - An English teacher who rap battles students | Channel 4 News' and 'BLIZZARD VS MARK GRIST | Don't Flop Rap Battle' . Grist is/was an English teacher here in the UK who uses rap to engage kids in poetry. Some of the references may be a bit obscure for American ears but it's great to see rap used to such a positive effect and form bonds between teachers and pupils. Keep doing what you're doing :)

Knox Hill put out his "Killshot" remix of Eminem a month ago. In one line he says something like dotta as a rhyme fill. King Dotta took this as a direct dis. Started chiming in in comments on Knox's vid. Knox told Dotta directly in the comments that he didn't know who Dotta was and the line had nothing to do with him. So, like a week later Dotta dropped "Crown" as a dis to Knox. About a week later he drops a dis track on Ren, in which he takes a further slap at Knox, saying he didn't respond to the first dis song. Knox hadn't intended to but Dotta crossed the line so Knox dropped a Stan remix dis on Dotta 24 hours later, and then ANOTHER dis, Patiently Waiting, 24 hours after that. Pretty much nothing from Dotta in the week since that. And finally Ren, who has other s**t on his plate being in Canada undergoing intensive treatments right now, dropped HIS rebuttal, essentially a eulogy, Knox having already murdered him and then buried him. Ren exhumes the body, abuses it, sticks it back in the ground, but also offers its spirit a chance at resurrection. It's now all up to Dotta, who will likely make the dumb choice and beef back at Knox, or Ren, again. If he does it'll sink him despite the fact that Ren's olive branch put Dotta over 1K finally when a month of beef and dis didn't. Dotta has almost tripled his subs because Ren said go ahead, like/sub. So Dotta best just give us some art and take the L humbly. It's been sooo much fun watching this play out. Blessings.

He was also picking fights with some reactors - whilst paying others to review his diss track. Before Ren's diss, he was on less than 1K YT subs. Now he is on 2.5K - hardly earth shattering but an improvement. Your face was so funny to watch - stunned silence most of the time ! So this started with King Dotta acting like Knox Hill dissed him, and his channel with 600 subs. Then it became something because he started trying to trash Knox and Ren by attacking them personally, making into a race thing, dragging other reactors into it .. All because he wanted eyes on his page. He ended up throwing down a Ren diss track (Kingdom Come) and tossed Knox into the mix. Knox threw out two responses because of that, and Ren said why don't we do a rap battle then if that's what you really want. In Dotta's track he mentioned several Ren tracks, called him skinny, and such. So, the fat comments are a direct response. Dotta actually got a big kick out of this (said he actually had cake the morning this dropped!), And thanked Ren on a new track he dropped the next day. Nice resolution.

Rap battles are a part of hip hop culture, they started as an alternative to a gun fight people would have rap/DJ/breakdance/graffiti battles. Nowadays usually an unkown rapper starts talking shit about a more famous rapper so they can get their name more known, which is what King Dotta did to Ren, he started dissing Ren in youtube comments and did a diss track about Ren. Nothing is off limits in a battle rap, not even the person's appearance or the personal life of the rapper or people around them. Usually people can take the bars in a diss track with humor and these beefs doesn't get personal.

Ren being the actor he is can portray Screech and Stevie or a battle rapper.. Battle rap was kinda designed to stop actual battles and are best when the rapper studies the person thoroughly and makes clever brutally roasting bars.. and it stops there no physical aggro.. good idea, the rich do Roasting Dinners . Dotta has been trolling reactors and rappers to get clout. Dotta put out a knox hill and ren dis. Knox responded twice. This is rens response. He answered like only REN would 👏👏👏❤️‍🔥

Dotta said Ren was too skinny to lift bars... opening up the "fat" jokes. Ren played the game but in true Ren fashion he threw out the rules and did his thing. Which is why we love him. How could you hate on Ren?

You should react to the diss battle between Dotta and Knox Hill. Knox dropped two songs (Stan remix and patiently waiting). But, you gotta listen to the Dotta diss first because knox uses the same beat Dotta did in patiently waiting no shows him how to rap on that beat.

All is fair in Battle Rap! Watch the movie 8 Mile. Its from a historical era, and shows the early roots of Rap. Battle rapping is supposed to be harsh and contain personal insults. For the most part the Rappers may or may not take it serious. Its a Display of how well they can insult each other.

Battle rap isn't really real beef, it's like a musical version of how comedians roast each other, just a fun way to take the piss out of each other, Ren showed class by turning the whole narrative in the end with a kind message. King Dotta said that the "put down the cake" line had him rolling around laughing. So obviously no bad feeling about anything that was said.

so what constitutes goth theses days? for me in the early 90s it was bands like Current 93, Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Death in June, Christian Death

So basically Dotta claimed that Knox Hill dissed him (surprise surprise it was bs!) Ren jumped on some comments on Dottas community posts, next thing you know dotta released a diss at Knox and then one at Ren, Knox released 2 within 24 hours back at Dotta and destroyed him, then Ren did this. The MichelleShow is a hater channel who pushed all the beef and supports Dotta and his beefy battles! When it all started Dotta had less than 900 subs on his YT, now he's around the 2k mark as far as I'm aware. People need to understand that this is just part of hip hop, it's not real beef. Love you're reactions Ash ❤
