Kapewell has played less games then Fifita this year and has made 50+ more tackles then Fifita despite playing less games , obviously slater is going for more of a defensive player and well rounded around the ruck , kapewell is the better option to suit a defensive style game, he is a work horse and never makes bad defensive reads unlike Fifita, slater knows what he’s doing , He’s a footy immortal and none of yous are so what makes yous think you guys know better

Yes he made about 50 more tackles but 6 more missed tackles about 120 less runs,1000 less running metres 50 less tackle breaks, about 20 less offloads,4 less line breaks,0 tries 0 assists to 4 tries 2 assists for Fifita but Billy is an immortal I suppose

Why is Fifita has not been picked? Capewell not any impact game 2, Fifita should be picked over Capewell. Fifita has speed, strength and is an aggressive ball runner. QLD have been bullied and outplayed by blues in game 2 so we need people like Fifita who can stand up and fight back the hard running blues pack. Fifita has had much impact on Titans and has played really well on his previous games.

At first glance, I did think Fifita should be in the team for game 3, off the bench from the 27/28 minutes and can run over some NSW defence on the left hand side. But I am not Billy Slater, he has won two series in a row and don't forget Suncorp for the decider is probably worth 6-8 points for the home team. Holmes has scored 13 tries most of them on the wing, so was Gagai with 12, they are now back in their best try scoring position and with the speed from Walsh, Ponga and Hammer, there are lots of points in this Maroons side, we just need the forwards to stand up and give the backs some time and space. If we can improve our defence by not conceeding more than 4 tries, very confident that we can win the third series in a row, based on the results, Billy would either be a genius or a dumper, my money on on the former. After all, the NSW coach has never been involved in any Origin as a player or a coach, enough said. Go Queensland.

So, Billy Slater, a man whose playing at Fullback actually forced major changes in how the game is played, apparently doesn’t know what he’s doing. IS this coming from Immortals like Joey Johns? No, of course not, because Joey knows that such talk is just stupid. A man whose record on the field is beyond stellar, who played in a premiership leading team, in one of the most succesful SoO teams QLD has ever had, and who played succesfully as an International and what does he get from Maguire? cheap shots and BS. Tell me again about Madge’s playing record? How many State of Origin games did he play in? How many were NSW victories? How about his International career? Premiership games? Anything? You know, there are people who can shoot a great put-down and then there are people with class. You can spot them, because when they lose a game, they don’t go about making up excuses, they congratulate their opponents and own up to the fact that they were outplayed by a better side on the day. You can spot the wannabes, by the fact that they will blame the Ref when they lose, or rubbish the opposition when they win. Once upon a time, the winner would be gracious in victory and the lsoers equally gracious in defeat. This modern idea of sledgiung and hanging crap on the opposition is a sign of a distinct lack of character and sportsmanship. My old coaches in the 60’s and 70’s would put their boot in our backsides if we had carried on the way many people do these days. Thankfully, the majority of players and coaches are old school and don’t do that, unless they get to be on TV shows about the game. Gus Gould is one of the best imho at sjowing due respect to both winners and losers, coaches, players and Referees. Sure, he can dish it out a bit if he wants, but most of what he has to say about people in the game comes with a respectful assesmnet of the people or person concerned. I’ve never heard him come out with any vitriol against anyone in Rugby League. I;m sure that if he ever did, it would be because of something heinous that the person or people have done that REQUIRES such a reaction. I was really impressed with the way the Blues played at the MCG. They were absolutely outstanding in every way and they deserved that victory. It was a masterclass in how to win games in Rugby League. What I was NOT impressed with, nor am I impressed now, was the way that Maguire behaves like some ten year old taunting his perceived enemies in a juniors game.
