Graduated in 87 and played drums all my life.(Locally known) Your emotions are a testament to the POWER of music! I moved 2yrs ago from Indiana to Oregon. Went from 1,000 friends to just me, my Wife(High School sweetheart) and my 2 labs. Drums suck playing alone. I can sing and knew some chords on the guitar, so i bought an acoustic guitar and killed time learning my favorite songs and singing em. Thought at a campfire, i would be a hit! ha I can hit these notes.....Sang in a Motley Crue tribute band. i was learnin g this song and i always get on and see how people play it then i take it all in and do it. I actually made MYSELF cry a FEW times singing and playing guitar in my living room!! The power of this song is truly amazing. You need not be sad young lady. Remembering someone is a GOOD thing!! People die twice......once when they physically die, and then when people FORGET about them! Never forget. My Father is on my fridge and i actually say, "Morning Pop" when i make my morning coffee. I never cry anymore and i used to always cry. Now i talk like he's right there and always happy thoughts. You are awesome showing your vulnerability! I joined your channel just now for that very reason. Stay strong JAYY! Crying is a good thing......means you really do LOVE and CARE if you didnt love... you wouldnt miss someone anyway! sorry so long.... I never comment. I am gonna hit send, pick up my acoustic and sing this song for you right MEOW. Peace girl

@@christianwallin4993 so i did go back and listen to Vinnie Vincent Invasion, i did not know about them and im impressed. So ive started listening to them now i really like "Love Kills" , so thank you for turning me onto to them. That being said though vocally he is amazing can he can hit the same notes as Sebastian, im sure he could. he has a great high range and awesome tone but sebastian not only has really high notes he has sooo much girth and power and the stamina to hold really high notes for 11 seconds or more with rasp. watch this video though i wish in the video he showed the whole clips to show you how long sebastian held these notes kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5TLop-grL-SfJY The video is 8 CRAZIEST Sebastian Bach vocal lines - Skid Row then listen to Qucksand Jesus, the whole song he sings amazing but 4 min in he hits a pretty high note ,not his highest but its still pretty damn high but he holds that note 19 seconds i truly think hes one of the greatest singers out of that era and top 100 all time, he also got to sing on broadway. there are two other singers that i think make a great argument is Axl Rose love him or hate him the dude has a nearly 6 octave vocal range. and Miljenko Matijevic, from Steelheart. that guy can hit some really high notes but yea go watch that and tell me what you think, thanks again

This song was written about Mark Slaughters late girlfriend. He was on tour and came home to find that her funeral was the next day. The song is about letting go. My son passed in 2014 and we both learned this song on guitar before he passed but I can not think of this song in the way as of a healing process. Only a great time teaching him to play it because it was of my era. Same with Tears In Heaven. This song stayed on the charts for a long time and made MTV’s number 1 for about 4 weeks. A wonderful song and a gem to those of us who actually was able to see the band live and play this song. I have seen 2 versions of this song on stage played, one with the original guitarist Tim Kelly who passed away tragically and a new guitarist who I didn’t care for because the luster of the original band just was not there.
@kevinnelson24723 жыл бұрын
@Ryan Belden I never really tried to learn his style of playing. He blended a lot of different guitarists together which made him HIM. I have a guitar signed by him and Mark. It’s a B. C. Rich. A lot of the good ones die young.

Despite that she always loved and helped me thru my hard times never even thinking of herself. She developed cancer a couple of years back. Her body had all it could stand but she wouldn't pass on. Hospice worker said she sees that with mothers holding on because they feel like their work isn't done with their children. I held my mommas hand and said I'm OK momma...you can go now. I love you. For many reasons, but seeing this one pop up today made me really happy. I love that you let yourself feel the music and lyrics. I’ve listened to this song so many times I’ve lost count (still love this band and was obsessed with them when they were big) but today, listening to it with you and knowing what you’ve been through, it made me cry. Thank you for giving us honest reactions. The singer Mark wrote this song either about an old friend from high school, or a girl he used to date in high school. I can’t remember which. But she died in a car accident, I think. And the guitarist you see in the video, Tim, he also later died in a car crash so this song grew to be dedicated to him a lot, too. It’s definitely Slaughter’s biggest hit, but if you ever want to check out their usual sound (not a ballad), maybe go with “Up All Night” or “Mad About You.” “Spend My Life” is another good one. Have a wonderful day, and thanks for making mine better by bringing Slaughter into it!

I always get the feels listening to this song. Thinking of the people you love that have passed on.

It's so refreshing and reassuring to see someone so young...understand, and feel what the music I grew up with means to so many. Thank you for this. Subscribed.
