@@krystof7059 when you say "trigger" , are you talking about that digital gadget that seems to be replacing the good old microphones, and makes it easier to modify the sound and correct mistakes so that it sounds amazing coming out of the speakers... even if it sounds like crap when drum is not mic'd..?!??

​@@martf1061 basically yes, but be careful explaining it like that, the people who use them will eat you alive :D. Another good (and cheaper than buying a trigger and module) way would be "live sampling" - you can purchase (or pirate which I'm of course not advising to do*) a live sampling program like DrumaGOG or addictive trigger etc and convert the audio signal into a sample getting the same effect.

@@krystof7059 call me "old school" , but i'm not a fan of using triggers on a acoustic kit. I like earing the raw sounds of acoustic kits.. I play on a E-kit for 2 reasons.. 1: i have neighbours..😋 2: i'm not good enough, so i rarely fully enjoy the sounds that come out of my playing on acoustic.. 😏 I'm totally ok with those who use technology to adjust the sound.. but not ok with those who use it like an "autotune" or "off beat correction".. Thanks for the tchat 🍻🍻

@@martf1061 i count it as cheating when the tempo is playable without triggering. I don't think any drum module offers off beat correction. You may be confusing it with quantization which is done after recording the drums and can be done on both triggered and acoustic audio - the only difference is that trigger modules can output midi and midi can be quantized with a single mouse click. Quantizing acoustic drum recording is more of a manual work.
