Curious to hear what people think regarding the optimum unit size for Chosen. Currently building my FOMO box, and stuck on wether or not to run two units of 5 or a big death star blob of ten. Just got started with Slaves to Darkness as a small side project. First browsed and went wow 240 points for that is good! Then realized that was for 5 and 480 points for the unit of 10. 😅

I suppose it's good that the marauder hossbois aren't quite as good as they are now; they currently debuff bravery. Chaos Knights also lost that. I think the slaughterbrute is a really bad sign for Khorne, it kind of demonstrates that they still don't have any inspired ideas for Khorne, it's still just "moar attac" I would have liked to have seen how the mindstealer sphiranx was updated, I just painted mine up for Khorne, so I hope they haven't gone and invalidated it.

Too bad the Eye of Sheerian doesn't seem to work if you coalition Archaon in Nurgle/Slaanesh/Khorne or Tzeentch as it mentions i"if Archaon is in a Slaves to Darkness Army". Like you are paying the same amount of points but lose one of the key abilities of the model. Bit of a shame.

Archie looks so busted. If you can't muck him up with a mountain of cheap screens , he's gonna just wreck face. Some rough mathhammer has him basically never dying to even some of the strongest hammers in the game, especially so with Mark of Nurgle.

@@TheHonestWargamer Honestly? Probably even over the course of the game given his healing potential. I don't think this means he'll necessarily be able to go fully buck wild without support and not die in every matchups but I think he's going to be functionally unkillable against many armies and will required sustained beat down from some of the heaviest hammers in the game to die against the armies that can. Max sized unit of fulminators on the charge with AOA doesn't kill Regular Archie, assuming Archie has either best day ever or AOD, which is pretty safe to assume he'll have one or the other, and that's probably about the hardest hitting thing in the game on the charge barring maybe some of the new Khorne meme hammers from this book. You're gonna need stuff that can really put the DPS down over multiple combats and hope he can't heal through. A smart Archie player can easily use something to screen and disrupt some of this damage too and prevent him from dying most games. Nurgle Marked Archie in Particular is especially heinous, lol.

How is this even in the same league (heh) as the Votann book? Basically no shooting, magic can be cranked but it's risky and to hit debuffs really hurt them. I'm not saying it isn't a strong book, and I'd say that the 4+ Rally is a bit much. But your comparison is pretty hyperbolic.
