Not sure where this video has sourced information but I would say we prefer natural beauty, anything unnatural is considered tacky and vulgar, but there are rules thet are universal: long natural hair, natural make up, ALWAYS dress and heels, ALWAYS well groomed, nails done etc. Also in life you are supposed to be tough, there is no such thing as self love or self care, it's western slogans, but for our men we are supposed to be soft. If you don't have a man you have to be very tough and strong yet still in heels and a dress. lol
@sabina24008 ай бұрын
Yes, natural or natural looking. If you have a cosmetic surgery it should look like you were born like that and nothing extreme. Pay attension to signs of good health like hair, nails, skin, posture and weight. You can not be overdressed just underdresed. Smell nice. Eat a lot of homecooked vegetables and drink herbal teas. You should look like a delicate flower, but a poisonus one. Also if a man is around let him do things like open door, carry suitcase, pay they like to feel usefull , if he is not around you do it like a queen.

yeah lol. almost all of this felt like how a rich woman anywhere in the world does beauty. everything that didn’t seem that way, was just a way of life-pickled food isn’t quite eaten for the beauty benefits. also comparing everything to the price of US dollars in the USA is just absurd. 1₽ is equal to 0,01$. of course things will be cheaper in the foreign economy, in a country with a completely different history, structure, & way of life!

@@jay-catthe problem is not that is more expansive in US, it’s the quality that sucks here and on top prices are astronomical and I have to pay tips. Also the amount of women going to salons there is more compared to the US so there is more competition and prices are cheaper.

This made me feel good, thanks for posting! Growing up in Slavic country hair and nails are a big deal the more natural and healthy the better Some of my tips: Nettle tea is super popular for hair but the treatment should be one month daily and then taking a break. also horsetail herb is great for hair and nails cause of silica and camomile to rinse your hair with which make it lighter. I think we appreciate herbs in general. In my country there is over saturation of beauty salons, chemical peels and micro needling is basic but also a lot of body treatments like endormologie and lasers. Facial massages recently became very popular. More natural cosmetics tend to be popular here. I would also like to add spending time in nature for mental health which then shines through :)

Toner first, then essence. The toner is suppose to balance your skin after being stripped from the water and wash, and then after balancing with the toner you add in the essence so it has a conduit to pierce deeper into the skin as a proper treatment. Then follow with your serum or oils and moisturizer etc

Hello! Small tip but it doesn’t really matter: essence is usually a brightening or antiaging step and it goes right after toner :) Also not recommended to put ice directly on your face because it can actually negatively impact blood vessels; you can use ice globes or at least a barrier between the ice and your face Finally it should be noted the moscow is extremely different from the rest of russia, and $20 is quite a luxury outside of moscow. We must keeo in mind russians in moscow are the most wealthy russians.

All my life I grew up in Malta. My mother is Russian, with a mix of Ukrainian and Polish. Only this year I have realised just how much I behave and appear Slavic despite not being integrated in their culture. Am the only one in the family who cares a lot about her looks and health, I read serious books, and I don’t believe in modern feminism where woman should be “independent” by not caring for their man. When I go out, I want to look put together; clean braided hair, natural makeup, feminine clothing. And I always thought it was better to save smiles for when something is really funny or appreciated.

I am glad you highlighted that Slavic people are diverse and spread around Eastern, Central and Southeast Europe, but it kinda defeats the point of even explaining that when you´re going to only talk about Russians and calling them Slavic. Yes, they are Slavic, but the don´t represent every Slavic country, go more to the West and you´ll find completely different beauty culture. This topic would be more suitable for several episodes. I think it would be great to talk about the different approaches between Eastern and West Slavs, even Balcan Slavs have a very different culture. And about the pickled food...I dunno about Russians, but I think most of us just eat pickled food because that´s what we are used to eat, it´s cause it´s cheap and delicious, not many people really think of the benefits. And when mentioning the prices of beauty treatments, it is still quite expensive when you consider average wages. I know this video is supposed to be only a quick overview, but it should not be called "Slavic women" because it´s all about Russian women. I think it just gives people who don´t know much about Slavic people a wrong idea, especially about non-Russian Slavs.
@ana-nim5 ай бұрын
Well, it's called slavic women from Moscow. If you call it simply Russian women then it's not particular enough since there's many ethnicities in Russia. Russian women can be Asian as well, for example. Title can't be any more clear than it is right now.

Im from Poland and there is not a lot of difference between Poles and Russians, Belarusians or Ukrainians when it come to food, traditions, music, mentality or lifestyle... only South Slavs are different because of the Ottoman influence I think its true that Slavic women pay more attention to their appearance than Western women, here in Poland getting lips fillers is as common as manicure. Women also regularly go to cosmetologists for microneedling, mesotherapy, lasers and other beauty treatments
