This time is qualitatively different. Capital is now destroying the basis for human life on the planet. Although "the world" might keep going, it will do so in a way hostile to humans, and in a way that means the death of millions of people now living and unborn. Its easy to say "this is just another crisis", but 1) its not, as it is destabilising the climate that birthed all human civilisation and 2) its up to us to try and make the "keeping on of the world" as well functioning as possible - optimism in practice.

He was approaching death but did not realize it and continued on. Like the torment of an animal. Now society is aware of this. And it will suffer in the process. This will be a psychological trauma for the whole society. Because what will cause this injury, it is deprived of consciousness (name is capital).

He is right - as the climate situation progresses emergency states (non social/liberal democracies) will most likely arise, and I would much rather have the Reds be in charge of them than the fascists.

France is right now entering an emergency state: slashing social policies while ramping up military spending. And they don't need the climate as an excuse. Russia is enough of an excuse for them, even though it's quite clear that Russia would never attack a fellow nuclear power. Emergency states are just part and parcel of the capitalist playbook. Shock Therapy by any other name.

Yes .. we should prepare for emergency state... When we can see not under ours noise but up.... (How long are our noise??)there stop and start.. stupidity...
