As soon as I saw Tower, she looked so grand and majestic that I had to submit to her. Then, when she was taken by The Shifting Mound, I was all like "No! She was going to remake the universe and make me her hubbie! I'd probably even get a statue and one with lasers to zap any pigeons that try to take a crap on it."

it's because the Long Quiet (the player character) has total control within the construct, and the player character had the idea that she was powerful enough to shut down the narrator

Right? The original one was just *ahhhhhh* kinda silly, like he was tripping over a rock. Still effective, but this one sounds like ANGUISH.
