Bear in mind that acquiring Paranoid doesn't necessarily mean abandoning her in the basement (although it often is), it mostly means discrediting both the Narrator and the Princess both, which feels very in line with how the chapter is characterised in plenty of the existing Prisoner. The whole goal is to figure out which side is more trustworthy and make a more informed decision, so it suits that specific theme. My personal guess for what the window into this route is is that we might get the option to die while clutching the knife instead of slaying her or dropping it when she strangles us in the chains. This would both deny the Princess and the Narrator their victory, give us a logical path into Ch3 through death, and a proper reason for the Princess to be angry at us.

And it's already been stated multiple times that they would make so leaving her head behind leads to another route instead of Drowned Grey. Plus she can still be angry with us for not taking her but also at herself for not giving us a clearer signal or not realising how "dense" she thinks we are. It's also likely that the dialogue we saw has nothing to do with that route whatsoever. Plus I think it's better they keep the options limited during Prisoner otherwise it gets too complicated and removes the idea that you're not the one fully in charge here. This princess won't just let you die if you choose to - she needs you and she knows deep down you know this too.

Well, there WERE hints and unexplored paths. Some people were complaining about prisoner becoming drowned grey, if they didnt took the head with them. Critisism came from the fact that thematically, this jump from chapters didnt male sence. Also, creators admitted that due to tight deadlines they couldnt make all the content they wanted for the game. P.S.I also hope they'll give another chapter to adversary, because in from adversary to fury made little sence Edit:I also hope for new damsel chapter, because she and prisoner are probably the only two princesses, who had only one chapter 3.

@@Marrianno They've already confirmed they would address that as they weren't satisfied with it either and Drowned Grey will solely be accessible from killing Prisoner. Also, I don't think they've given not going to give Adversary a new route because, aside from the fact there are already multiple paths from her to Fury (straight up refusing to fight her; giving up midway and trying to pacify her; fighting her unarmed and giving up or continuing until she gets afraid; some of which actually do work, imo) they've already heavily reworked Fury, and given what we've seen in the trailer it looks like it's going to flow more thematically from Adversary like it did from Tower; she's finally getting the fight she wants. Plus I don't think they'd want to lose the connection between Adversary and Tower during the Stranger route Also they've already confirmed a new damsel chapter along with Spectre and Prisoner since they're the only ones that don't have their own. Specifically they hinted about staying with Damsel in the cabin. So I think we're in luck 😁

And yes, I looked at guides at how to obtain third chapters for each route, and only Stranger, Damsel, Spectre, and Prisoner dont have chapter 3s that have them in exagurated/stronger forms from previous chapter. Though Stranger and Razor are spetial cases, because while Razor doesnt have thematic connection to other routes, she has four chapters of her own depending on us being armed/unarmed. And stranger is the only route that doesnt lead into any chapter 3 for narrative reasons

I can't wait to see the new chapter with the prisoner!! A dark room, both in chains, I'm really curious how they're gonna get through that. Will they cooperate to reach freedom, maybe by exploiting the construct's rules? Is this princess gonna be "The Beheaded"? Or will we reach this chapter by locking ourselves in chain and get the Cheated as new voice? Are we gonna start directly in chains? I'm so curious to see a sequel to my favourite princess!

I dunno. Getting locked in chains carved a perfect way out for both you and the princess, bodies intact. Plus the devs already said they would have leaving the head behind lead to a new route instead of Drowned Grey, which will still be accessed through killing her. In terms of voices, I'd say either Contrarian or Paranoid are most likely, possibly both.

Oh boy, an expansion on chapters where your relationship to the princess is more hateful and bitter with a princess that outright ressents you. I can't wait to see what kind of contrast we'll get compared to the softer routes.

The only princess with that description that's getting an expansion is Fury. Den is consumed by animalistic instinct and Apotheosis is consumed by her own divinity. Prisoner isn't hateful or bitter, she's just extremely cautious after what happened last time and seemingly aware of the narrator's presence. Plus, it's likely that dialogue is just exclusive to the trailer and has nothing to do with that path. And there are other princesses that aren't getting expansions that fit your description: Wraith; Drowned Grey (aside from making it so you only get to her via killing Prisoner; Witch; Thorn (to an extent if you're mean to her).

Alright so going through the trailer, here's the new stuff I saw. Dunno what all has been confirmed about this. 0:00 to 0:24 is definitely a take on chapter 1 leading into Damsel. I assume the discrepancies are mostly for aesthetics, but could be wrong! Also I think the music that plays during this part is new (I assume it's for Damsel chapter 3) 0:32 is a new cabin layout, and the design on the stained glass screams Damsel to me. I assume the staircase next shot is connected. 0:34 is new Apotheosis content, not a lot I can deduce from it. 0:37 is new Fury content. The dialog makes me think this is the version spun off from Tower. 0:53 to 1:09 screams Prisoner chapter 3. The choice to keep her head in shadow makes me think this'll be reached from letting her decapitate herself then not taking the head (which currently leads to Drowned Grey)

We're going to be seeing more of her flesh obsession and I'm all for it. 0:53 The devs have said they weren't satisfied with how that turned out so they're going to change it. Drowned Grey will now be solely reached from the more fitting route of just killing Prisoner.

I can’t think of anything… All I got is that it likely comes from you refusing to let her into your body. Or it could come from you doing that and then stabbing yourself? Maybe it’s a more ghostly take on the Wild?

Attempting to leave or slay the spectre results in wraith so it's gonna have to be a separate outcome from those- In all the routes there's usually an free the princess outcome that ends the chapter there, an slay, or leave. Then there's a unique choice outcome (like staying with nightmare, giving the blade to witch, attempting to play it safe while slaying adversary) which leads to usually a unique route. So either we get a unique choice outcome or we get to properly slay spectre cause we can't actually kill her yet in game. Spectre by herself is one of the few princesses you can't actually beat (besides beast, but her chapter 3 is getting an extension too) so it could be an outcome of "what happens if you make an ghost double dead" OR it follows the result of killing yourself while spectre is in your body which usually leads to an early chapter end but it could be expanded on.

@@couldyounotdude3168 Adversary and Nightmare are cases where more than one choice leads to their unique route with some differences. To get Eye of the Needle you can play it safe while fighting Adversary, fleeing from her and fighting her upstairs with the blade (both get you voice of the Hunted) or by trying to free her (which gets you Skeptic). Staying with Nightmare and running from her both lead to Moment of Clarity, the only differences being different dialogue. And you can actually kill the Beast by doing it from the inside if you're quick enough which leads to Wild. Den is the one getting the expansion Also I don't think they'll break established physics by making you suddenly able to kill Spectre since you can technically win that one by throwing yourself and Wraith into the abyss (plus getting to Wraith with Cheated is fun) or you can kill yourself while possessed, which is probably the most likely to be expanded on.

@@reubensalter8125 paragraph 1- ya you right lol Paragraph 2- should've clarified but I meant like, when you slay the beast you're also already doomed so you're essentially taking her down with you. You don't ever actually get the upperhand on her at any point, the den you do but it's very short lived hence the expansion Also killing soectre wouldn't be physics breaking cause we can actually cut her throat at a point (when she pulls your heart out) she's able to become physical at some points so it could be possible to be able to get an upper hand and take her down

@@couldyounotdude3168 If we're able to cut her throat then how can she still talk? All we did was remove a layer of ectoplasm - just because she became mortal doesn't mean she's not immortal. We could just keep slicing bits of ectoplasm off and eventually they'll likely reform. Plus who wants to kill a cute ghost girl, let alone one who gave us a chance but we keep attacking over and over again so she'll likely be more than angry now?
