I played the alpha of this in January and was super impressed. I'm glad to see it's finally been finished. Looks like it's not quite as brutally difficult, at least it has difficulty settings now, which is great.

I always thought XCOM would benefit from some kind of dynamic replay like this game has. To be able to see all the shots you carefully sequenced come to fruition in one clip? Satisfying.

Agreed! Been waiting for X-Com replays for generations(yeah, a long time). I even thought about making an xcom youtube series/mod that spliced all the action scenes of a map together at the end of a combat. hen I woke up and went to work.

Great purchase. Have been playing it since version 0.17 and I don't even like deck builders

I like the many builds you can use and the draft mode I beat the game once with a block build, a single misstep can easily cost you the run. Still, unlike some deck builders like slay the spire, you can't get softlocked/screwed just because the game suddenly decides you do. Unless you're playing in the highest difficulty you get a movement card each round (you must have such a card in the draw pile, but the game ensures you draw at least one) which means that you may miss on bonus objectives due to delays but you always have the means to escape an unfortunate situation

Homie you literally did 4 push damage on the wall and then wondered how you could do 8 damage to kill him. If you front kicked him into the wall for 6 damage you would get 4 more points doing 10 damage or even more because it stacks on combo
