I've finished Act 3 with the Defect and the Silent, but I cannot for the love me finish Ironclad. Heck, I rarely even make it to Act 3. So this is just what I needed.
@Robert-to9tc4 жыл бұрын
With ironclad i like to build as much defence as i can and use bodyslam to finish foes off. There are some cards that synerchise great with this where you can keep your defence inbetween turns or double it. Its amazing when everything comes together. I discovered this game a few days ago and i absolutely love it! I’m now trying to win with the defect, but I haven’t figured out how yet.

I decided to buy slay the spire because I saw a lot of my favourite Twitch streamers playing it and it looked fun. However I didn't realise how hard it was until I started playing myself, seriously, 41 losses in a row and not a single win! So, I went looking for help, found this video and BAM I got my first win thanks to this build. Thanks a lot for posting!

This is a pretty good video for beginners. I haven't yet seen if you made other guides, but you should do several to explain the other ironclad archetipes. Even tho a video where you explain wich cards are generally good to take vs trash ones would help people a lot since you are not often offered the cards you actually want. Keep up your work

First off, good beginner's guide! I like the way you explain your points well-structured, clear and easy to understand. But, I have to disagree with some points in the guide. If you get the shovel on the first floor, you will get ridiculous value out of it through the relic gain rather than upgrading one or two cards. Well, that might also just work for me because I tend to farm mystery rooms, which in my opinion is usually worth it just by the possible encounters. After all, there's a lot of options to remove/upgrade/transform cards there, typically improving your deck.

After watching the video (and with it open to follow the guides of draft and upgrade) I actually completed a run for my first time. Got a really good deck with a limitbreak+ , 2 heavyblades+, 1demonform, 2 headbutts, 2 winflames+, 3 twin strikes, 2 plumels+, 2 battle tranche and also a fiend fire + (fiend fire ended up beeing really really good) It fealt really easy to beat because I had a relic combo for armor (5 plated armor every game and "if I don't have any armor at end of turn gain 6 armor, this comboed for 11 armor every turn) and with this armor stall + insane strenght bonus it was just like killing insects (The last boss was awakened one and I killed him in 2 attacks) *Resuming all this: I have a very bad grammar and you just got a sub because it was an amazing guide !* EDIT: noticed it is your first video.. hope you don't stop posting this kind of videos because as I meancioned, it was really helpfull ! EDIT2: forgot to say I actually got 2 mana relics so 5 mana each turn with an heavy attack deck was simply perfect !

Good guide but I consistently win with this character using a defensive counter attack build....use juggernaut, metallic shield thing and flame shield....aim to get shrug offs and some heavy hit attacks plus flaming sword, spot weakness to have hit when necessary....aim to build block around juggernaut to gain damage everytime you add block and if you get metallic armour power it damages every turn due to juggernaut effect....barricade can be useful but upgraded so it better fits your turns unless you get lots of power then it can be used easily....for attack use the strength gains to gain extra damage immolate helps with this pack to deal with larger groups :-)

Thanks to your advice, I just beat the 2nd boss for the first time! Wish me luck!
@ryanbrothers53776 жыл бұрын
Didn't win that game, but came back and won the very next one! Very first time I faced The Awakened One! I was able to kill his second form with a single combo: Double Tap + Pummel (both upgraded, because I had Apotheosis). I didn't get Double Tap until near the end this run, but it's a VERY strong card. I think you should've emphasized it more in your video, but no matter. Final deck I had: Bludgeon Double Tap 2x Reaper Inflame Pummel 2x Spot Weakness 2x Whirlwind Flex 2x Headbutt 2x Twin Strike Warcry 2x Defend Apotheosis Never even offered a single Limit Break, Heavy Blade, or Demonform, and managed to still somehow win. Relics: Burning Blood, Toolbox, Old Coin, Peace Pipe, Velvet Choker, Oddly Smooth Stone, Regal Pillow, Enchiridion, White Beast Statue, Anchor, and Magic Flower 77 max HP.
@ryanbrothers53776 жыл бұрын
Immediately after that I beat the game with The Silent, using a poison deck. After killing Donu, killed Deca the next turn in 1 hit because I got the relic that transfers poison to someone else when one dies. Ah, satisfying. XD Anyway, I've won 2 games in a row now, and beat 2 of the bosses. Woot!

Not all of these are unlocked from the start, Also going for one specific build from the stsrt while disregarding the cards you actzally get offered is a bad idea, since then you need to get the rng to get the exact cards you want.

I got far, but here is no way this deck is 19 out of 20 wins. If you don't get the core cards, you're fucked. Edit: I take it back, I fucking hate this strategy. You have zero defense if you try farming the cards for your core deck, and if you don't get EXACTLY what you need, get fucked kiddo. Looking for another video.

Game is an absolute joke. RNG fest for people who think they have skill. Got to the end of Act 1, fought everything I could, went to 2 merchants even got the damn Prayer Wheel for double card rewards...and I saw 1 of the 11 core cards for this deck. How can this possibly work 19 times out of 20, you might get the combo together 19 times out of a million.
