The Defect was my favorite character for a long time because of the orby shenanigans, but these days I'm gonna have to give it to the Watcher. I love the combo-oriented playstyle and the ability to hold handfuls of cards for maximum effect.

So, the point of the Watcher is setting up for big plays by patiently defending until you’ve got a set of cards lined up for big damage in wrath and enough energy to switch back to calm. Retaining let’s you hold onto strong cards, scrying let’s you check what you have lined up, and when you’ve got a sequence built up you can lay into the enemies hard and then pull out before your willy gets trapped.
