Trish, HTS, galaxy eyes prime photon dragon, dd warrior lady, tiaramisu :3, fate, and plenty of stuff really. The most consistent and accessible being HTS and galaxy prime (for any rank 8 deck). You can also use anything that gets to 4k or over. The best mean to get "over" hardened obelisk is creature swap though ^^ Also if you have a rank up card in a rank 8 or a rank 4 deck, it is easy peasy as well. I don't know why, but I always make sure, when I build a deck, that I have at least one consistent way of getting rid of hardened obelisk. In my mind it is like if I can get rid of hardened obelisk, I can get rid of obelisk ^^

on devpro if you go in host settings you can set the banllist to tcg and have allowed cards be tcg/ocg to use the new cards with the tcg banlist.

*SPOILERS* The reason Geartown's eff upon destruction didn't activate is because MST was chained to its activation. The chain resolves with MST popping Geartown, then Geartown activating on field without effect, which makes Geartown's other effect miss the timing, since Geartown being destroyed is not the last thing to happen.

Typhoon chained to activation of GEARTOWN, makes geartown miss timing because it was destroyed in the middle of a chain. Then you still have to resolve the "activition" of geartown, technically speaking. LINK 1 ---Link 1.5 (Geartown destroyed; misses timing)---Link 2 etc...

I run a version of Harden Armed Obelisk in my Frog Monarchs. It's really easy to get out. Treeborn Frog, Battle Fader, Trag, Gorz, ECon, LADD, Ronintoadin. Then for Harden Armed Dragon support use Pinpoint Guard which also helps Swap Frog and Dupe Frog. Masked Dragon puts in Alot of work too :)

Ah, so it was Hardened Dragon's effect that makes Obelisk not be destroyed by card effects (Because Obelisk only stops targetting effects) And yeah, pleadies would have been better. As long as Destiny Dragoon is in the grave and you got banish targets, you can keep SS during stand-by, doesn't matter how it hit the grave as long as it was properly fusion summoned. (So Cyber Stein into Dragoon, if it hits the grave, it's a nomi)
