Kerry King strikes me as a person who has created a hard outer shell to hide and protect a soft inner core... I mean I think he is actually a nice person because when he laughs I strongly get that impression... I usually know how a person is, just by their smile or laugh.
@mofo6907
@mofo6907 4 жыл бұрын
I get that impression too not just by how he acts now but because he used to be so much more personable in older interviews. I dont know what changed

He was probably shaped by a cruel impersonal business. Kerry King is a lot like Mustaine, You wont get a lot of bullshit from either. I personally think that's great, but real things aren't always safe or comfortable. Would you rather have people in your life that tell the truth? Or blowers of sunshine aimed at your orafice of choice? Real people are not going to be darlings of the media.

Kerry is known for his dislike of South of Heaven, but I still think his playing on that is cool. That album has a great sound, and if people say it’s a slow album then listen to the first couple of minutes of Ghosts of War, which is as fast as anything they ever recorded.

Kerry, you guys already did make some turns and changes that you probably shouldn't have. No different than Judas Priest whom you mention. Anybody who saw Slayer back on "South of Heaven" tour and before, absolutely knows that what they're doing now don't even come close to the energy they once produced. The original line-up is gone and so is the prestige of Slayer. And that breaks my heart. The same goes for Priest, Metallica and Megadeath. And I understand they are all older and calmer. But I feel sorry for the new fans of today. Because they totally missed out on the true greatness of Slayer and other bands that peaked 30 years ago. And when I try to explain that to these kids today, it seems they don't get that concept or even care. And that is sad. But it is what it is!

Kerry says he doesn't want to make a bad record, Puts out exclusively weak albums for the last 15 -20 years. World painted blood has been the best thing they have done since Reign in Blood. I wish Slayer would do the right thing and Bring Dave back and and finish their touring cycle and legacy as Slayer and not just a glimmer of what they once were.

God Hates us all was Mediocre at best, some good songs, lots of weak ones, weak tones and Bostoph on Drums. Its literally every ingredient needed for a bad slayer record. Also you've now made two stupid statements with nothing to support them. Nice work Brett, even Slayers recent efforts have outdone yours.

Nah mate, an honest fan is an honest fan. Would you argue the same with Metallica, Megadeth or Exodus? everything they have released great because it has their name on it? I don't think thats an objective way to compare works of any band.

Me too mate, I wouldn't have commented if i wasn't passionate about Slayer. Their one of my favourite bands and the first thrash band i got into. Try not to be so quick to react to others opinions. Its the love of Slayer that brought us both here in the first place. I wish you well and hope you can find some of the new bands to support when Slayer's done. Thrash lives on.

Slayer fans: have you ever read chapter 20 of the Book of Revelation from the Bible? Here it is below. Revelation 20New King James Version (NKJV) Satan Bound 1,000 Years 20 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while. The Saints Reign with Christ 1,000 Years 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. Satanic Rebellion Crushed 7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. The Great White Throne Judgment 11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20)
