This is so beautiful. My son passed away at the tender age of 21. He was in a coma the last week he lived and he awoke to ask for me. He told me not to worry, he was going home to be with Father. I thought he was confused because his father was there. He was so happy and he said," No mama...Jesus is my Father. Don't worry, I will see you again in Heaven". I miss him everyday. The greatest loss is of a parent for a child. It leaves a hole in your heart that can never be filled. I cry inside. Thank you Kelly for this song.

Can't help but to think of my son forever 23. Makes me feel someone looked into my soul and wrote the words I am screaming every singe day. I will miss him forever he past away sept 7 2013 the day before my birthday. He hugged me on that day so tight and long before he left the house that day. And he said he loves me and I asked him to be careful and don't go to where his friends were texting him to go. He smiled and said you worry to much mama. He just started to become a young man. It seems like yesterday he was a little boy. Time goes by so fast.

Is the not knowing better? Are the horrible thoughts sometimes better than the reality? I am speaking as a parent of a drug addicted child and this song brings me to tears every time. Don’t give up hope. I struggled with addiction for years & did a lot of the same things that you mentioned to my own parents whilst in the midst of my addiction. I can proudly now say that I have almost 8 years clean. It’s the hardest thing that I’ve ever done but it is possible. We do recover ❤
