I really love when a creator comes out of, seemingly, nowhere and make a bunch of interesting and randomly niche content that they are passionate about. I've been watching all your videos in reverse chronological order, and they are great! Where did you come from? I feel like your content is much too good to have truly just started from scratch just a few months ago! Either way, thank you for your opinions, research and efforts Hendry!

Said the same in another comment, but I think I'm just the kind of person who can't not do something 100%. I get super sucked into hobbies, like I got really into plants and got a photometer and tested propagations with different soil types in all my windows. Or I picked up progressive metal guitar and played non-stop for months to learn Dream Theater. So when I decided I wanted to give YT a shot I just sort of went all in? It's basically been filling all my free time and budget since May haha

Sleep No More has been extended to November 13! Very cool!

Alas. They served huge inspiration back in the day. I have been acting in immersive theater since 2011, mostly with "Delusion" in LA. I always hoped i'd get to see sleep no more.

They just extended it to November... so maybe it's not closing after all. Or at least the demand is still enough to keep them open for now. That's so cool! I'll be visiting LA in November. Do you have any recommendations for immersive theater to check out? Delusion looks a bit spooky for me but I'd check it out.

I wish they at least did like, full recordings of their performances :( i know it would kinda defeat the vibe but i would still love to see them somehow bc i dont live somewhere where this stuff is held and so it would be super expensive to just travel to see a show

Yeah, I know the creator mentioned wanting to do something in VR, maybe there could be a cool recording that way, not that VR is super accessible but better than a trip to NYC. I've been checking out a game called Invisible Hours which is kind of a VR immersive theater experience and it's pretty fun, but still missing the human element.

Been going through your back catalog after getting linked by Tom Scott, and was super surprised to find this video on something I saw just a few months ago and was amazed by! You did a great job describing everything. Such a shame it’s closing.

Ahh that sounds like such an amazing experience. Sad to hear it's ending, which means I'll probably never get to "have a stay at the hotel". I'll definitely have to look into immersive theater in the future! Also, the video was easier to follow than some of your past videos have been.

It's apparently still running in Shanghai and I saw a casting call poster for Seoul, so at least it's not completely going away! And thanks! I've been trying to incorporate the feedback

This is great! What aspects of the design do you think were intentional v.s. over time?
@HGModernism3 ай бұрын
Felix Barrett in one of his interviews said they didn't anticipate how well the masks would work. Apparently they just kind of tried them out one time and got a really good response. I also genuinely don't think the show was designed to get as much of a repeat audience as it did. These days? Sure everything is designed with "engagement" at the forefront, but I found an old news article saying it was only originally planned to run a year.

Unfortunately like most cool theatre or art experiences, either you live in the one specific place and have the money to go or you just never see it and it closes
