Param, Thanks for sharing with us about the difference between deep sleep and dream Sleep. The fact that deep sleep physically repairs us and that dream sleep works on our emotional clearing that ultimately leads to wellbeing.

I was 27 when I started a journal on Wednesday 11/21/79. Within the first year, I was writing about "insomnia". I'm now 66, That journal is now 5.5 millions words long. Based on that average of 08 hours sleep per relative to a documented history of "insomnia," I am 72 years old. Yep, that's six years of "awake" time I never wanted.

@@lordnikon1993 I learned to live with it. That also means I had to learn to live a "me" that I do not like, at all. And that journal I mentioned? Thanks to insomnia, it is now 7 million words long. Yeah, 1.5 million words, in a year, because of insomnia. You stay safe and be well.

@@jackmorgan8931 look up a functional medicine doctor, they can check your hormones and digestive health, which are often triggers for insomnia. Also: get daylight in your eyes in the morning, at least 1/2 hour, and keep away from screens 2hrs before bedtime. Do grounding: touch the earth. And try to avoid EMFs (you can read about this online). This all worked for me to get back my sleep after many years of insomnia.

alpha male - He did! Burn the calorie and eat less processed food, and the other thing was to set a routine for sleep. Although that can be hard - I try to do it, but work interferes with my 'natural' routine, as I always wake to an alarm clock in the week, whereas when I wake naturally on weekends, it's always an hour-to-ninety minutes after I'd have needed to wake for work during the week, and going to bed an hour to ninety minutes earlier during the week doesn't mean I fall asleep that much earlier - tricky!

So to get a goodnight's sleep you need silence around you. But there is a thing called as hypnotherapy hence, does it affects your sleep?

Stating what we all know. What we don't know is how to achieve a good sleep and what's the optimal number of hours. The best sleep wisdom I've heard is " bed by 11 up by 7" and "an hour before midnight is worth two after". Those two simple maxims have more value than your whole talk.

Maybe you aught to look for a source of information with "how to achieve a good sleep and what's the optimal number of hours" in the title rather than putting him down because he taught something else.

Eat procceed food, move to burn calorie, and get some sleep ritual, that you can get a deep sleep, dream sleep. Right? I'll try. Anyway, thank you.
