Sleep token are absolute gods!! Vessel has one of my favorite voices of all time. This song is just a beautiful representation of everything they are capable of.Dont know if this is the first time hearing them, if it is, then go consume all their music and worship at the alter of creative perfection. This song will always give goosebumps. Ascensionism is a great song. But there are many to choose from. You may enjoy the journey from their first album to their most recent to see their progression. But you really can’t go wrong with any of their songs. For me, almost literally every song is like a hit single.

I would be interested if you decide to do more. A great band and it's fun watching others enjoy their stuff. They went from like 250k listeners in 2023 to like 2M+ in a few months when their 3rd album dropped.

Since you guys like Tool, you’ll probably like Hypnosis from Sleep Token. Actually, you’ll probably really like it. It is the song that immediately follows this one on the album. Also, this is the opening track of their second album, to give it context👌🏽

They are not from Bristol. They are from East London. Vessel did study at Bristol but can tell from his cockney accent exactly where his roots are. If you plan to go down this rabbithole then yon should start from the 1st album Sundowning and just follow through to the 3rd , me back to Eden. As this is a trilog. You would be doing yourselves a disservice as the payoff on the last is immensely satisfying. The band until now is only 2 members. Vessel on vocals and all instruments and Vessel 2 on drums. Vessel also writes all of the music and lyrics apart from the drums. The band have been around since 2016. And release 2 Eps and a single prior to the Sundowning album. There is also the acoustic sets from the room below and the covers of Outcasts hey ya and Whitney Houstons I wanna dance with somebody and a Billie Eilish track. Also recommend that you hear the room below version of Bloodsport probably the most emotional track they do. Live they added 22 new members, 3 on base, and 4 on guitar. There are also the backing singers The Vesselettes when playing live. Every track is different and will clash styles and genres throughout. Either way, every song is 🔥🔥 🔥

Personally I'd suggest you to actually go back to the first full EP called "Sundowning" and start from there, because the 3 albums (Sundowning > This Place Will Become Your Tomb > Take Me Back To Eden) definitely have an underlying story :) You could just go back to Sundowning after completing this album but DEFINITELY DO TMBTE last!! All I've ever been able to specify before is how boring drums in the past have been and how this filled that niche I had been looking for, for years. (Crosses was almost that). But I couldn't have specified the rest. If I could have dreamt up the sound, I wouldn't have even known this was possible to make, but it is everything I had wanted in music and had an inkling I'd been missing for years now. You will find it awakens the parts of you that have been sleeping, and calms and quiets the parts you wish would sleep.
