I ADORE the line "i look for scarlet, and you look for ultra-violet" the way i interpret is that it's commenting on the way he and his partner look at issues in within their relationship. "I look for scarlet" he looks blood spilled, the most immediate surface level issues. (which is an issue in its own right) "and you look for ultra-violet" and they look for issues that are invisible or non-existent, to a possible scrutinous degree. Absurdly good song. 🙌🙌WORSHIP🙌🙌

Vessel once said in an interview that "Life is dark. Life is bright. Life is ugly. Life is beautiful. Don’t get lost in genres, they’ll only disorientate you. Music is for everyone." and I think they encapsulate that belief in this song completely.
that was the most pretentious interview I've ever read.

Scarlet and ultraviolet are opposites, symbolizing their opposing perspectives and philosophies. The subject matter is so relatable to any human going through the suffering of heartbreak. Vessels vulnerability in the way he sings is always evident and truly gives the feeling that he is in the trenches of suffering with us. I'm 46 years old and I absolutely love this! Never let it be said that you're too old to keep discovering good new music. Truly great emotional music has no boundries when it comes to age, in the same way that it's always good for a band to infuse different genres in their sound. Looking forward to hearing much more from this fantastic band! I'm aware they aren't a brand new band, but compared to a lot of the older music I have loved for decades, then they are fairly recent. Always happy to hear a good newer band that crushes the myth that all new music is crap, that that I've heard and read a lot of music fans from my age group and above tend to say. Excellent stuff!

In a way, it’s like being shoved under water and then finding bliss in the deep blue encapsulating you. There’s so much emotion happening in each track and the music reflects the lyrics or vise versa. Each note is as powerful as each lyric from Vessel’s mouth. I’m truly astonished at how touching this music is. I can’t even say the right things right now, I just have so many thoughts, I can’t put them all into words. I'm new to Sleep Token so I was almost surprised, since a lot of the songs I heard first were soft, like "The Way That You Were" and the "Hey Ya" cover. If I hadn't heard the heavier parts of "Jaws" or "The Offering" first I never would have seen it coming. The guitar in the first half is giving me some callbacks to Russian Circles or something, it sounds eerily familiar.

Sadly enough this song reminds me of my relationship, I'll be moving out soon.. Its so refreshing to hear this because it shows i don't share my pain alone.

I only found these guys a month ago or so when I was recommended The Offering. I have no expectations in terms of sound, only in quality and they never fail to shatter those expectations. Music is for everyone and all are intertwinable and Sleep Token show that in every song.

I'm not sure I can keep myself emotionally composed when listening to Sleep Token because that puddle of teary moisture next to you would be me. ST is unstoppably perfect!

Beautiful yet again. Those drums in the verse. I forgot to breathe during that drop! I feel like there's gonna be full on screaming by the end of this album

I have felt the unclean vocals since Pantera started a fire with Cowboys from Hell ... this takes me places uncleans dont ... I think the emotional cleans are perfect

Oh 😂 I have liked scream/unclean vocals for long time . When I heard Pantera album Cowboys from hell back in high school Phil Anselmo was singing in a way id never heard...I loved it. So fast forward 25 years... I love unclean vocals in my music... This song in my opinion is getting the scream/unclean vibe with the guitar and I dont feel like vocal screaming would enhance that vibe ... the clean vocals are part of an excellent use of light/shade for the overall feeling - I love this song and this band really impresses me 😊 Does that make sense
@jessehansen59785 жыл бұрын
@@7star7storm7 Honestly brother, it made sense the first time. I dunno what he's on about. I agree with you that if there was more screaming from Vessel, it would almost take away from how hard the guitar hits, and the pure emotion that his vocals bring.

They are the first band I’ve found in years that actually make me feel…I’m 2 years into sobriety from opiates and sometimes I feel like I’m permanently unable to feel emotion. Bloodsport was the very first song I ever heard and it actually made me cry for the first time since I began my recovery. They really are special.

I see it. Some of the instrumentals remind of their more mellow songs like Digital Bath.
