The struggle is real for me lately on so many levels and i have no one to talk to that thinks like me plus i don't want to bother people with my issues. its 2 am haven't slept in 4 days just listening to music trying to make everything make sense in my head i saw these guys months ago on my Fir journey and they just came into my life 2 hours ago it after some research this is where i will be. I love music especially like this and with heavy head banging cause for the short time my mind is free enjoying the beat and lyrics while head banging knowing there has to be someone i can relate to. Know one will truly be able to give me definitive answers and make real change cause some of my issues are much much bigger then me and every human cause we are truly dumb, close minded, self centered, power hungry people who want to rule over and tell other people how to live our lives. The do's and don'ts of life as if anyone truly has that authority and knowledge over other humans minds and actions cause i don't accept that. Many think we know it all and have all the answers but we don't not even close its a massive unknown universe full of moments realizing we are just a micro speck in this thing we call life to this universe and time past present and future. Sorry for typing so much just my brain and many many scenarios and situations i run through in my head 24/7 365.

To me this song is about a broken relationship, the kind where people get back together after a break up thinking it'll be different the second or third time round. It's clear from the start that the same problems that caused the first break up now haunt the relationship. In the first verse the author is very aware that the other doesn't really feel the way that they say they do. He laments that when it ends she won't remember him (his cracking bones, something he believes is unique about him) and he doubts his value. There has been traumatic experiences between the two that are beyond repair and the other person would rather leave and be avoidant than talk through any problems that arise. The chorus is the author asking if they will not talk or be able to reach each other again. He knows that this will be the case. For some reason he applies an angelic ideation on the person, despite their flaws. The second verse describes how their relationship is just an imitation of what it once was, only they can't fake it because she forgets her lines and her act is clear to see. They are so out of sync. She really just uses his love because she has nothing and nobody else. Not because it's vital to her. And momentarily pretending to love helps her forget the agony of being unfulfilled. He realises his love won't matter because he knows she will leave and he will be left longing. And no matter how much he loves her this will happen either way. He knows that this situation needs to end but he's afraid to let go and find something better so instead he's going to wait for the eventual dissolution. Beautiful song.

This band gives no fucks about genres. Last track was alternative metal, this song is like piano-driven pop. (With a heavy, down tuned guitar outro.) It’s just music. I don’t usually listen to pop sounding stuff, but this is amazing. They make all the genres they use so accessible, not only cuz they use so many of them, but also cuz they make em all sound great. And also cuz of those vocals 🔥🔥🔥 I look up to fellow singers who sing in a lower register, but still sound amazing and still have soft parts. Something no one seems to have noticed? Read the verses especially again... It seems to be about someone who may be soon to pass away, to levitate to the angels. And there is a lot about *forgetting*. I think it may be about struggling with a loved one with dementia...Hoping they are not forgetting, and memories and people not lost into obscurity. Instead levitated to a better and infinite place Let’s not forget the album is called Sundowning(!) “Late afternoon and early evening can be difficult for some people with Alzheimer's disease. I have a weird take on this amazing song. My family has dealt with addiction for as long as I can remember. So when he says will you levitate my brain goes to those family members getting high, and how some of us tried so hard to be there for them. To be there to lift them back up essentially, and how some take it for granted, or dont care the pain it caused those that helped. It also reminds me of watching a friend you care deeply for go through addiction. This song is so amazing.

Ive been relistening to this song recently. Not sure if it has been said but the time signature for the outro just makes me chuckle at how interesting and genius it is. If my counting is correct it is split into 32 beat sections; with 4 different time signatures adding up to 32 to come back in time with the 8/8 feel of the song. 7/8 10/8 6/8 9/8. I fee like i found a little secret treasure when i finally figured out how to count this outro. Thanks vessel❤
