There is a lot to digest with sleep token. The poetic lyrics on a deep level of meaning and emotions, the instrumentals, the background sounds, reverb, piano, synthesizers, the multiple genres bending together with no limitations. They are just amazing! Their philosophy and art is off the chart. worship!

Vessel does the lyrics and guitar/bass then ii writes thexdrum parts. He explains it so well in the first Drumeo. Each song on TMBTE has a character, and I've heard people talk about Warhammer and another gsme but I'm not a gamer. I think they're probably miniatures, and yep, I remember that Rykerroad!!

1. II uses drum pads, there are old drum videos of him and newer ones on drumeo's yt channel 2. The figures in the videos are different for each of the Take Me Back To Eden album. On their first album Sundowning they had a rune for each song, on the This Place Will Become Your Tomb album each song had a different deep sea animal and coordinates as well as depth all leading up to the Point Nemo. 3. The autotune you are reffering to is used by all artists, nothing special about it. If you hear it, it's mostly done on purpoise. For Sleep Token I can say Vessel more often uses a sort of vocoder and is using it on purpoise. There are full songs in this style and sometimes just parts . 4. Vessel isn't screaming a lot, he uses it only if it's fitting. There are songs that are nearly all screamed, some aren't. Live IV, the guitarist, is screaming a lot and supports Vessel in that. Btw Vessel and II are the only one's writing the music, apart from the drums Vessel is doing everything(singing, screaming, guitar, bass, piano,...). III and IV are live musicans, III was around since the first live shows, IV has changed over time but is the same guitarist since about 2022, I guess. Everyone who is really fallen for Sleep Token and about to start going down all the way, I recommend starting with One and Two EP and start going through each album in order. It is kind of a story if you listen closely and a lot of call backs that are beautifully composed/written you'd miss out otherwise.

Hmmm that is all very interesting! I really enjoyed reading, very informative and insightful! I was kinda thinking of starting from the beginning after the song I just recorded yesterday comes out this coming week! Much love!

ii uses drum pads on those parts. If you get to any of his drumeo videos he says he uses alot of dance, r&b, gospel in his drum rhythms and influences

Also, Vessel doesn't scream a ton but when he does it's fitting for the song or for the section of the song. He has a insane falsetto and just perfect melodies.

Thank you for the clarification! I can definitely look into ii’s drumeo video! I’ve seen like a minute of it but none of the drum parts! That’s so cool how he uses those genre influences in his music!

@nickwelch3649 I love the mix of vocals live when iv joins the screaming parts.

I feel like Vessel typically prefers to “sing”…his falsetto is out of this world! However…I like to think it really tickles him to get those screams out from time to time 😂 he really goes hard live on the screams adding in extra and even some “bleghs” !

Live?! Bleghs live?! I am so in for those!
