SLEEPER GOLF MK1 smokes Porsche GT3 and 350Z on the Autobahn

A guy in a turbocharged Nissan 350Z challenge a Porsche 911 GT3 on the Autobahn. Of course the Porsche 911 GT3 accept his challenge. While cruising in high speed, a Golf GTI came out and smoked both cars. It is just funny. The Golf GTI driver may said “These boring Sunday drivers!”.

I doubt this is on the stock engine, unless you know the car then I stand corrected. And I stand by the fact a mk1 GTi is not a pile of shit!! They fetch upwards of £10k easily over here in the UK nowadays.

Ever sat in a Golf1 approaching 200 km/h? It may be ok on the driver seat, slightly uncomfortable on the front passenger seat but i was on the back seat and shitting myself😂 BTW: Öttinger tuned engine, 1.8l and around 130 hp. A nice upgrade to the default GTI engine with 1.6l and 110 hp.

Our family car is a Golf VII variant. I love this car, it does everything well and is pleasant to drive. I also own a 911 Carrera S and without being arrogant have to say the guy in the GT3 wasn’t trying to race with the Golf. I understand what it’s like to buy and modify a small car: I’ve been there and done that. I also understand the guy in the GT3, it’s not uncommon for a hot hatch to challenge you on the road but eventually you just smile and let the guy go by. With 400+ hp in a relatively light car it really is no contest so why bother.
