If I could have I would have if you look back a few videos there a surface water drain running through the gardens from the main road so would have cost way to much to move buy I am getting a boxweld liner tho 👍

Keeping it Koi .!!! I would just measure the step length width and depth and that would give you exact ltr/Gl But ponds looking good and a good size.👍

@@keepingitkoi it's a good size! Surface water is so important. Koi tend to swim long ways rather than diving, so it's a good size.

Cheers bud much appreciated and yeh the window frame it took me a while to come up with but I new I was using 25mm insulation and just thought hey they do a 25mm box steel and it all just came together from there 👍👍

That's exactly how I did my window support, using 25mm box steel. The rebar was a bit of a pig hammering them all in. Your doing well, won't be long now.

I'm not 100% sure bud to be honest it was going to be just over 12000l but that was before I had to have the step but once I'm happy with the leveling and cutting the sides in I'll remeasure it and find out 🤣🤣

looking like proper pond now, good work, with way are going to do your window? sandwich style with the liner or stick the liner to the glass like i did? Im surprised that drill gos through all them. i had loads of problems drilling mine, My dewalt one wouldn't do it, borrowed a mains powered ssd drill and even that struggled, overheated it a couple of times. my wood was soaking wet though.

Yeh mine were wet too I did over heat it a couple of times my self and went through like 20 full charged batteries 🤣 but its not the cheap £60 makita it's the £180 one almost an ssd drill basically and I think I'm gunna sandwich the liner I put the box steel in the other day and I think it will be the best option for my pond 👍

@@keepingitkoi I'll be interested to see how you get on with the window. I couldn't decide for ages which way to do it. In the end I did it the other way and haven't had an issue. Plenty of people do it the way your doing it so I'm sure it will be fine

A firm near me called express timber 👍 they only deliver locally I believe but can do sleepers upto 4m in length I believe 👍

@Keeping it Koi would it not be a good idea to grind the edges over rounded on the metal bars so there's not any edges for boxwood liner to be pushing against mate as there's a lot of water pressure just an idea too think about I know
