I think the best part of the series is showing Jaime and Claire before the wedding. He looks after her best interests, protects her, and is a good teammate overall. He was her husband LONG before he was her husband, and that is the best relationship to have.

I will always love this scene. Claire is slowly becoming aware of not just how fond she is of Jamie, but how deeply attracted she is to him. Both physically and emotionally. It's confusing and scaring her. It's unlike anything she's ever felt before, not even her love for Frank can testify that.

Whilst I wish more men were like the character there are good men out there, it's just a matter of finding one that fits you as you do him. And I am speaking from a cynical spinster position with a bad history with men that has left me jaded. What women also forget is men are feeling beings as well with their own emotional hangups.however both genders in todays global society are in much need of ettiquette training in my own opinion

Having just started to rewatch the second season I definitely wish I could find a man like Jamie he is sensitive, loveing , kind ,careing and very sexy . Men don't give a crap these days and there are definitely no men like that in this day and age and if there is there few and very far between

I love how scandalized he is by the suggestion of sleeping in her room. Very well acted! I wish more period shows/movies would try to be truer to the times they're set in. If Outlander had been entrusted to anyone else there'd be anachronistic music and fashion, and modern values all over it. Jamie would've stayed with her without blinking an eyelash, they'd get it on all night, and there would be no consequences for Claire at all. I really appreciate it when creators respect the idiosyncrasies of a period in time!
