Interesting detail: the foot of the bed reads: Gretel (but inverted); the character was definitely introduced as Aurora. The woodcutter must have abandoned his children to have an empty bed to donate to the fairy godmothers with the sudden arrival of their niece.

Dev team here. 👋 Thank you for making this entertaining video about our game and the shoutout. 💜 We really love to see people's reactions when playing FAIRYMM, as it helps to improve our game and it's always good to get a fresh take on our work. Good job for surviving Night 1, Night 2 is really hard, but you did it too! Congrats. It gives you kind of a glimpse of what hardest nights will be in the final game. And there's not even all the gameplay mechanics nor the threats, haha. Little tips here and there: - The Red Fairy isn't buggy, there's no need at all to click, just to have the cursor on her. She doesn't stops immediately though: there's obstacles, various speeds, and your Anxiety/Insanity also affects the efficiency of you countering her. It also depends on where you target her. She's definitely tricky! And you got to see one of her deviant behaviour's too. - Don't forget that whenever there's a threat in the room, even if not visible (like in the closet), you'll not be able to interact with objects until you beat all threats. All the same with Insanity. Staring at candles really help to lower it faster, and can be combined with for exemple Holding your Breathe to be more stable, and lowering your Anxiety at the same time to regain control faster. Anyway, thank you for feedbacks! Hope you'll try to beat the final game when released. 😼

From my understanding these are the mechanics of each enemy: Green fairy: Don't look and it's ok Red fairy: If her teeth are chattering she needs to be double clicked. If not you have to hold the mouse. Blue fairy: Holding your breath and potentially not looking.

Nightmarish versions of fairy tales can be quite fun, getting back towards their original tones. The fairy godmothers' designs are solid here, all looking pretty creepy. I hope the Kickstarter succeeds or, if not, the developers are able to continue work despite it failing. This seems promising.

Yes the voice acting is excellent. It feels natural and stays appropriate for a fairy tale. I was enjoying hearing her talk about different things around the room then hear her switch to panic. Also how they have her need to remind herself where she was if cut off while speaking. Great attention to detail.

I really feel like mermaids are not utilized enough in horror games. I've seen so many horror games that would have been perfect to have mermaids as the monster but it's always some lame Eldritch octopus God. Really interested to see where you take that story!

Even if I'm personnaly a huge fan of Lovecraft books, I couldn't agree more regarding the overused myth and visuals of the ancient gods and the Lore. Mermaids can indeed be very very creepy and we intend to do that! I really hope we can get there in the future. Anyway, thank you for your interest in FAIRYMM!

I really like how this game portrays sleep paralysis. When I was young, I had sleep paralysis every night, and I remember it being just like this, you look around your room but everything is dark. The only way to escape is closing your eyes, but sometimes that doesn't even work. I never told my parents until I was older.

You can see thorns wrapping around Aurora’s heart as she gets progressively more terrified. Clicking on things she likes and whatnot slowly removes them. Seeing the name “Gretel” carved into the bed made me both a little scared/worried for her and Hansel and wondering if it means anything more. The VA for Aurora did an excellent job, and I really like how this game looks. It’s really pretty and reminds me of Bramble: King of the Mountain. I love it.

I think the twist right now seems that our fairy godmothers are becoming twisted because she mentioned something about being starved and trying to eat brambles, but she could have easily eaten something poisonous instead of a regular bramble berry bush. That or she attempted to eat the sticks or something, but I’m not entirely sure of that. So it seems very much everyone is starving and the godmothers may be trying to eat Sleeping Beauty or trying to kill her because the starvation has driven them insane. It could also be that our sleeping beauty isn’t actually a princess at all and these are regular women who are attempting to kill her. Regardless of whatever the specifics are, I think with a bit more tweaking with more understandable mechanics to stop each fairy godmother, I think this will be an amazing series!

Interesting theory! As for the understandable mechanics, we did our best with a quick tutorial for the purpose of the Kickstarter, but there will definitely be a legit tutorial ingame for the release, so don't worry too much. Although it will still remain complex, challenging and diversified, the progression curve should be way more smooth.

Hell, in Perrault's Sleeping Beauty after the Prince awakened her, she and their twins (yeah, suddenly children) were almost eaten by the Prince's mother. So yeah, the story was already pretty terrible.

Climbed on top, saw the dead girl and took advantage of her. He left, she got pregnant (she was still unconscious btw). After a few months she gave birth to twins and one searching for her breast sucked the enchanted linen that was stuck on her fingernail and that is how she woke up.

Thank you! We're definitely working hard on the "creepy, uneasy, unconfortable" aspects of this game, to reproduce what we frequently experience with your own sleep disorders as creators. I love how stylized this game is. Such a sweet, beautiful, dark game. It honestly reminds me a lot of American McGee's Alice, Alice: Madness Returns, and of the old Brothers Grimm Fairly tales. You know, whie watching this the mechanics of the game like holding your breath and calming yourself down is actually a very accurate depiction of sleep paralysis and how youre suppose to get out of it. I say that because I used to practice lucid dreaming when I was younger, and one of the techniques involve a Wake Induced Lucid Dream, and in doing so you were also prepared for this, waking up while your mind is mentally in sleep mode, and so you either begin to dream while youre awake can can't move, OR you become awake if your dream, in which is the goal as you get to Lucid Dream and control your dreams in such an interesting manner.

Its was really good and scary, and while this type of game is quite popular this one feels unique, having her talk about stuff to both explain what's going on in this story and calm herself down, and the interesting mechanics of getting rid of each of the fairies. I think what I'd improve is either having the breathing minigame calm her down just a bit more, or having a couple more items to click on for stories, or slightly longer stories for items like the bowls or bookshelf. It's just near the end if the second night it gets really difficult because manly has run out of stories and the breathing minigame only calms her down a bit, and you dont want that high of difficulty on the second night in these kind of games, though I know this is still a work in progress and a demo. That being said this is really interesting and looks super promising! I look forward to seeing how this game and future projects from these developers turn out!

Thank you Eli! Funny you point that, because we began to rework on the overall breathing mechanic to give it more fluff. There is a whole lot to click each nights, though. Some more than another, but Manly didn't get all of it, hence the few pages obtained at the end of his runs. I think a better mechanic for the blue one, instead of being another "Look away" type of enemy (If that's what it is); is to have it be beaten back by her voice. When she says a voice line commenting on one of the items around her room, it gets delayed. It forces the player to use up some of the calming items around the room when they don't necessarily need them.

Definitely very interesting! I love taking fairy tales and turning them dark. Thanks to Disney most of us remember them as light and sweet, so it's even better to see. Though I hope it gets funded and poor girl can afford a blanket.

I'm a little upset I only discovered this kickstarter existed today. There's only 2 days left, and they haven't reached a tenth of their goal. I'll volunteer $100, but it's not looking good. That said, Aurora's bed has Gretel carved into the foot. I don't know the details, but apparently Hansel's room will be unlockable in the full release. So, those two stories should be closely intertwined. I'm very curious, so I hope they can get it out as they plan...

Thank you very much for your generosity! 💜 Unfortunately, despite trying to reach out MANY content creators from everywhere in the world litteraly every day, press who ignored us completely, social medias didn't get viral, recently itch io but with low visibility, we weren't able to reach an international audience. It's a little saddening. 😿 Either our project doesn't interest that much, either we need to pay a PR Marketing agency to do better. (with money we don't have right now lol) Anyway, like I said to worried players in the comments about that Kickstarter, we'll likely try a relaunch in future months. We will not give up at any point, it will just get harder and harder for us to work for free, so the release date is delayed too.

Mhhh in the original fairytail Aurora was gifted beauty, grace, a beautiful voice (there were12 fairy) so maybe these Fairy are the opposite. They take and kill to have back what they lack, beauty (red fairy is ugly AF), grace (the green one make noise) and voice for the blue?

Hope the other parts are like... a Resident Evil style survival/chase game. The graphics are great, and if "health" is linked to lore and clickable objects to "take your mind off things" that could also work in an adventure game. Plus that would mean more things and bits of lore to find. The look and style of this game is just begging to be explored.
