I’m with you about this game being game I’d the year, we played all day the last Saturday and went through the first 18 cards. I can’t get this game out of my head it is amazing and the story is amazing. It reminds me Of the choose your adventure books when I was a kid.

Great playthrough! I like watching the game being played. I can understand you can get addicted to it pretty easy. Tend to agree that it appears to be a lot of book keeping to take care of. Will stay to easier Near and Far for now. Thanks a lot to all!

Hi Lincoln and Nikki P! I just purchased this game for my son Kevin's 29th birthday and after seeing your video I can't wait to play it with him and his fiancée, Jordan. I love solo games so I looking forward to that as well. Lincoln, Kevin, Jordan and I met you and Rodney Smith at the BGG booth at GenCon in 2019. Kevin has ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder which is a developmental disability that can cause significant social, communication and behavioral challenges. Gaming and gaming groups have helped them significantly with his disability! We got deeply involved in the gaming hobby by watching and supporting Rodney's channel since 2011. A few years ago at GenCon, Rodney, Tom Vasel and a guy from Secret Cabal did a seminar on "How to Become a Video Content creator for the Board Game Hobby" Kevin was determined to do this so he launched his own channel called Gamer's Genie. He does weekly how to play and playthrough video with Jordan. By the way, Jordan also has ASD. They may be the only Autistic Board Game video content creators on KZbin. I believe even if you fail a test on an event card you would always get the reward anyway unless the text specifically says you dont. Passing challenges is about avoiding negative effects.

Great playthrough! I believe you can also use the appropriate ability symbols with the cards in your hand that you haven't assigned to crewmembers to help add to your fate for those challenges. That helped us a lot.

I my friend and I played through the game once over a period of a few months. It was tough and I can hardly believe many of the rulings because if how dead we go. Can't wait to try again.

Im also playing while watching you guys play, excelent playthrough. One note, on 41:30 I think that you can add +1 to the base 4 damage only if the crew member who has dealt damage with that weapon discarts an equipped ability card with the matching symbol. Correct me if im wrong. Funny video tho.

This is what I believe too, and how I've been playing. I don't think you have to discard the card when you use the weapon, but you can discard it to add one additional damage.

It looks like the sea area north of the island is not split between the pages, at least I can't see a dashed line there. So you should have encountered the strength storm when you rounded the island and had two movement but only used one of them. I believe you also handled an event card and then drank tea or something and then drew another event card.

they did do two event cards back to back. But i believe the page break also always counts as a separation between spaces

My sister and I love the exploration in this game, but the combat is a slog. We found the combat too complicated. It really slows the game down, so much so that we stopped playing and haven't gone back yet. It takes up _a lot_ of table space as well which also makes it a chore to set up/put away. I have very mixed feelings about this game. I want to like it more (got the deluxe version during the Kickstarter because I was convinced it was exactly what my sister and I were looking for), but those few flaws mentioned above make it hard (for us) to play.

Thank you for showing a play with spoilers! Since Dice Tower said "good story" my guess was that meant it was bad, but it was helpful to see just how godawful the writing is.
