I hate silicone. After you remove the silicone if other stuff stuck inside it , try that Nononse silicone remover, apply around everywhere and try to remove it again after 15 minutes, should come out easily in some stuck corners, gaps .. I usually use the blunt screwdriver 🪛 flat headed bigger size hook the silicone in and pull it out and you can scrape it applying a bit force by tilting about 35 degree angle but don’t use to much force 😅, it’s a longer process , but you less likely to scratch the surfaces. The other good stuff is hairdryer after you wipe the shit out with a wet wipe, wipe with a dry towel and use the hairdryer on a warm setting and go around it slowly and afterwards dry cloth or paper towel again , that’s 100% dry , because some corners are more wet than the others and you can’t getting with a paper towels inside it and if there was a leak more than likely that water still be sitting on that old silicone you can’t remove. Give it 10 minutes to cool it down and apply the silicone. Job done mate 😂 Never forget, I’m old school… I don’t use WD40 very greasy and hard to remove, could ruin job in some cases a bit risky …
