This is the best movie ever. Saw it on my first date with my husband in 1993 and we moved to Seattle when we got married in 1996. I lost him in 2019 and although we saw it on the big screen a few times after that (plus a bunch of other movies) it turned out that "Sleepless" was the first and last movie we ever saw together. I didn't plan it that way, so it must have been a sign.

It is mid-way thru the movie in the scene when the song Stardust is playing that a knife goes thru my heart to this day. When she asked me, she knew her days were numbered. I did not want to accept it. She was the love of my life. Maybe someday I will be as lucky as Sam. My daughter is now 27.

Why don't they give out Oscar's for the GREATEST SCENES OF ALLTIME? Meg "is" America's sweetheart and we will always think of her that way. Tom Hanks has become one of the world's greatest actors the world has ever known. As for the little boy, he will never get old to me. He will always be the little boy who turned around in the elevator with that gigantic smile on his face. Emotional? If all of us got together we could fill up the Colorado River. If the river needs love we can supply it.

This movie is my favorite romantic comedy of all time! The chemistry is amazing, and the writing is really excellent. An example of great foreshadowing is when Sam mentions how his late wife could peel an apple completely in one shot, and we later see Meg Ryan doing the same thing. Also, when Annie takes Sam's hand they both experience that "magic" that Sam mentioned feeling when he first knew that he loved his late wife - Magic! A beautiful movie!

It’s not really foreshadowing when everyone knows from the fact they are both lead characters that they’ll end up together. Romcoms are designed like that. If the ending is different then is a really odd romcom. But it’s truly a great movie.
