Ma'am, first of all, thank you so very much for posting such valuable videos about how to prepare for CSE and sociology especially.🙏 On behalf of a whole lot of aspirants who might have been too naive to appreciate your efforts (same as me initially) I'd like to thank you for your guidance and efforts into making the videos. It has made a very positive difference in our preperations. Thank you once again. 1 query: In sociology optional, instead of writing frequently-repeating-words like social, sociology, sociological, society, etc, can we instead write their short forms in the beginning of the paper and Would this be allowed by UPSC? eg: Social becomes S(l) Sociology becomes S(y), Sociological becomes S(al), Society becomes S(t), {Letters in () depict uppercase.}

Sir if objectivity allows to have positions and opinions then don't it give birth to subjectivity and aren't they interlinked? And secondly if formulation of problems depends upon prevailing choices then how it is considered objective why not subjective since investigator does use his/her understanding.

When is say i am value neutral and conclude that dalits are doing menial jobs and brahmin are in high paying jobs , i am indirectly attaching value to jobs being of higher value than happiness, peace etc, When social stratification was introduced it was meant as means to advance the nation forward by inducing a sense of competition to enhance quality of work. But essentially what went wrong was that there a gradual pursuit of higher levels that those who lack the resources were left behind, it was basically a survival of the fittest scenario. Hence the social backward and economically weaker section have to associate themselves to jobs that are considered menial by the society. What essentially can be done is to reform the perceptions associated with jobs in the economy and the importance of each job for the society.Society cannot function without them and that gives them value. For example - we are living at a time when agriculture is a sector which is being preferred least due to negativites associated with it that the society has accorded it. As there was awareness generated by different sections of the society about how important agriculture is to society there is gradual acceptance of the situation and there are more contributors to the welfare of the sector which has now also being politicized. Just a thought that was developed by watching your videos. Thank you sir!!
