Its Trash technology wise. Low range, 300hp is weaksauce, looks wise, its beautiful. But almost every other EV is better.

I dont think saying that this thing isnt hitting the marks , its range is trash, all these restrictions on charging , no self drive option, doesnt do anything except BE Electric…Toyota is Smug and full of themselves….They are depending on their rep for reliability to carry them thru…they are gonna lose money on this car…and they have no real interest in going electric. They are playin it very safe, as usual. Its basically a reliable brand..but they are boring. I own them…so im no hater. I have them for reliability…EVen the F series cars have no aftermarket support ….This is jst them sayin “alright Already, fine we will make an EV” this is a feeble attempt at a low range, no other features except the parking. Why would I buy this and blow an addtional 15K , when Tesla is about to drop the new Model Y. Good luck

Range,range. Doesn’t matter how luxurious the car is, the range is the most important thing for buying a EV!!!!

Thanks for the review of the Lexus RZ450e. Often it's only fokus on range and chargingtimes of electric cars, and for a lot of us it's not suitable to buy a heavy car for the trips we are dreaming of but rearly take. For a lot of us it's more importent with high comfort, shorter stopping distance in a lighter car, better handling and all the others we have got in the RZ, and we wouldn't drive around with a heavy battery we hardly need for a couple of times a year. But the RZ is even more comfortable and still handle realy good with the 18 " wheels instead of 20" which in real life driving give a range where we absolutely would like half an hour brake for some food and charging. We have had a good cars during the life, but nothing can compare with the RZ we have ordered now where we in some long test drives experienced a quiet and comfortable ride in the Lexus RZ which cannot be explained as good as the relaxing experience. We have had several cars from Toyota and Lexus, and we are happy with the high level of service, the reliability and the good value of the cars after some years which in total give a pleasent ownership cost, and for most of us this is a importent part of having a car. Best Regards Arne from Norway.

Thank you for your input. You're absolutely correct, this is the intended market for it, Lexus and Toyota have been awesome. I hope you enjoy it once it arrives!

Just go for the new RZ300E with more range, still 15 year battery warranty and Lexus overall 10 year warranty. Great car.
@michaelwaldbillig97295 ай бұрын
Where are you getting 15yr battery warranty? The 2024 RZ 300e that I have is 8yr, 100k miles warranty on the battery.

I have the Lexus RZ. I really love this car, BUT.......Be aware that the Range and charging time sucks. It's meant to be used to drive around the city, not for road trips. In winter I wasn't able to get more than 180km of range. As soon as you activate the AC you loose almost 100km of range.
@avdp90955 ай бұрын
We have a Mustang....in our businessfleet. Ford says, 540 km. From day one our best range was 400km....in winter 280km.....just saying. Fast charging highway, always far slower than what the say. If 4 or 5 cars are charching, the charging delivery speed is far less..... . The battery pack, is to small. Lexus inbuild restrictions for battery capacity, goodcthing, but limited the range. Dual motors not necessary. That said, go for the Rz300e....most range issues fixed.

Does't matter for me what people says. I live in North of Scandinavia, 5 months with snow and ice. This car works for me ,why? Coz I have a home charger and the infrastucture with chargers thats means, just like petrol stations. Its very good. Whats the average everyday drive ,its hardly more than 100km..

I think the only ways the Y is better: RWD-biased AWD, Tesla SCN, new and availability of battery pack replacement and cost, and maybe higher efficiency and possibly faster acceleration. Among those, I really only care about battery replacement costs/ availability.
@stang3933 ай бұрын
Im going to preface this by saying, im no tesla fan just a realist. But the only catergory it may "beat" a tesla is build qualit. Also level 1 charging is roughly 1 kw/h so if the battery is 70kwh usrable irs 70 hrs.
@Soh909 ай бұрын
The RZ’s biggest failure is that it’s a poor EV. Because I will agree that EV range and charging speed aside, it is 1,000,000% a better car than the Model Y. And I do own a 2021 Model Y that I purchased brand new. If Lexus can figure out the range and charging speed on this thing, I’d buy it.
@avdp90955 ай бұрын
It is given the dual motor and small battery pack, an EV with limited range. But who drives more than 200mls daily???? Rz300e has more range. You can charge at home, office etc. This RZ is a true Lexus, and only EV with resale value due to best warranty .....
@Soh905 ай бұрын
@@avdp9095 Range and good charging speed isn’t something you need all the time, that much is true. Just looking at my Tesla app, my wife (who primarily drives the car) charges at home 76% of the time, she charges at work only 2%, she charges at other places like shopping malls and grocery stores another 3%, and the remaining 19% is at superchargers. The thing is, I think the 19% at superchargers is critical. Our car has 37,000 miles now, so 7,000 of those miles were supercharger miles. I know for a fact that during a trip to Minnesota (2,000 miles round trip) I relied solely on superchargers. If I’m buying a car for $60,000. I need it to be a little more than a around town machine. That’s all I’m saying.

@@avdp9095Aakee from TeslaMotorsClub suggests to charge to 55% and keep it there unless one needs to drive more distance. This is to reduce calendar aging effects. That's why I want something with longer range so that 55% will cover my non-winter driving commute to work and drive back home.

According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), relatively few fires are caused by electric vehicle charging. Most fires are caused by improper use or aging electrical equipment [Source: NFPA].

That range is complete trash!!! Bro you need more experience with cars if you think thats “fast” per say. Nobody is buying this over a model Y. Model Y is way less expensive, is faster , goes further. Yes the Lex looks better , but id be paying 15K more for this car. Thank u for the review but …stop the Tesla hate bro , comparing a 15K more expensive lex that doesnt go further, costs more and is slower…isnt a apples to apples. Id say review it, but compare it to things in its class. Money matters. Plus all those restrictions and only of the 196miles , you can only use 80%…really 70% becuz NOONE is driving EVs down to 0%. Lexus needs to go back to drawing board on this man. Sorry. And I own Lexus 2 of them..So im no Lexus hater, But I also own a model S…and gave up my Lexus ISF to get it.

Ouch, that battery range and charging is terrible. This isn’t to “protect the battery “ it’s to make up for bad technology from the worst EV company making EVs. Toyota is such a clown show. At least they aren’t as bad as Mazda though.
@precisionmotors9 ай бұрын
This has to be one of the worse EV's on the road Range Wise. Even for someone to drive around in City. there is no way people will buy, i don't care how much Toyota reliability is behind this. The Range alone make people walk away from this car.

I mean, I think you're underestimating different people's wants/needs. There are lots people that work from home and live in a city, rarely needing to leave the house and not really going on long distance drives. People that love Lexus as a brand and have had them as reliable vehicles in their family, for themselves, etc. This is the case for me, I work from home and my local Lexus dealership had a promotion for 0% APR... I ran to the dealership and my RZ 300e will be here on Tuesday :)
