Thank you. This is perfect for this 60 year old, overweight, arthritic body. It shows me just how out of shape I am, while at the same time being a practice I feel is totally doable where I am at right now.

My case as well. I do this one pretty much daily and usually add in a child’s pose towards the end. That really helps relax my lower spine and pelvic floor muscles.

Finally got round to doing this and it was great! Has helped my stiffness, energy and mood. I think i overdid it a bit doing the whole thing on the first go, as ive triggered some post exertional malaise, but i still feel better, if that makes sense. Next time i do it i think ill just do each stretch once or twice rather than repeating them, and work up to doing the whole video with the repetitions. Thanks so much Rachel, i think this is a yoga video i can actually do! 💜😊 xx

That definitely makes sense! Sometimes we have to make an energy investment that takes away from us at first but gives back twofold later ❤️

Is there a modification for staff pose? I find it really challenging. And is there another video with more morning opening for lower body as well? This seems mostly geared toward upper body. Thank you! Really pleased to have found your channel as I have Fibromyalgia - just hoping for more explanations for modification. I really liked your mention in another video of doing down dog on the wall if your arms/hands/wrists are in pain.

@@dreambeeyoga4186 That was a long time ago, but perfect timing. I am looking for joint mobility workouts and yoga for my husband. My words are gone right now (not enough coffee) but he has lost what seperates the bones in his lower spine (probably whole spine) and his hips, but still works a pretty physical job. less physical than he used to be, so we are not sure if its the deterioration or the weight gain that is putting him in so much pain. or both. I have been trying but don't want to put him in more pain- like deep stretching seems to. Many blessings!

While beginning, I had closed my eyes. I saw myself sat in a field of grass with little yellow flowers, not dandelions, daisy maybe. For a moment, despite my allergies, despite my sickness and pain, there was peace, and it was real. Unfortunately, my body over heated and I began to faint. I was only 4 minutes in..

I loved this practice so much but it was a shame there was an advert in the middle of it - it seems to be happening on a few meditation and yoga channels so I’m wondering if KZbin have snuck in a change? Just thought I’d let you know as your practices are normally so calm and refreshing

Emily Birkinshaw OMG! That makes me mad! I’m sorry about that. I can assure you that it is not something I set up on my end. That’s horrible to be relaxing into your yoga practice and then have a loud ad jolting you 🙄

You are definitely not the only one who feels this way! I will do a full video on this soon. For now you could try sitting with your legs straight out in front of you and see if that helps.
