Hope you're doing well Craig, and thanks for all you do, except for getting me hooked on Cafe drama. A potential spicy question for you: What's your opinion on the "best way" to teach kids magic? I have, through happenstance, picked up a quite curious, diligent hanger-on, and was curious about best ways to teach the important stuff (misdirection, spectator engagement, sleights, presentation, etc) without falling into the trap of just teaching tricks?

I didn’t realise I had left a gaffed half and half card in the deck and someone picked it and I had no idea what to say. What would you have said. Ofcouse now I’ll make sure I don’t do this again but the question is more about what to say if you just forget there’s a gaffed card in the deck and someone picks it

As a terribly pedantic person, I just talk about decks are made in 7x8 sheets, and so in addition to the 52 cards, there are 4 random cards that are usually 2 jokers and 2 ad cards, but that sometimes companies play with what's in those last 2 slots. If that doesn't suit you, just either explain it away as a manufacturing defect (act surprised to see it).

23:11 @dvishanmagician The move sounds a lot like the Benzais' Spin Out production. While a lot of routines have used an "Up the Ladder" style cut before producing an ace, the variation I like is Rapid-fire Benzais by Harapan Ong found in his book Principia

Thanks for the answer to my question last week about exposing your older effects. My comment about you making a video about the routines Matt uses with a Stebbins deck was just in response to your request from the previous week asking if we would like to see that video. I have a few questions this week if that's ok: - For the Qunita Extreme routine, is it possible to hand out the chip you hold in your hand after you reveal that it matches the chip on the table that you count to? - You mentioned in last week's Q&A that Cheater Chips is more mentalism focused. Is there a full list of the routines that are taught on the tutorial that are mentalism routines rather than magic routines? Just trying to get an idea of how many of them are focused on mentalism. - Will you be getting the new wallet from Jon Allen that he is starting to sell at Blackpool (I think it's called "Palisades")? Would be great to hear your thoughts on it and how it compares to the Orphic+ wallet which I know you are a big fan of. Thanks again for all your videos!

Hey Craig - hope you have had a good week! I love how on Cube 52, Forecast and Cheeky you give some thoughts on routining si some effects together. Ive just recently devoured all your stebbins and svengali content - its Amazing thinking. I just wondered in order to give me some confidence in performing these effects can you give me a 3 phase routine for each deck from the projects. I imagine stebbins is easier to routine than sven. Within a gig context i have to be conscious about how many decks i carry!

Hi Craig, can you use dry wipe marker on coins to have them signed or will it not come off properly. I’m going to start using the mark by Paul Richards. He also recommends using stickers but I’m not a fan of that. Any other suggestions for getting a gimmicked coin signed where you can get rid of the signature after. Thanks

I am somehow shocked, not by the delay of his book release, but by the fact that an excellent magician with such an incredible career is so broke that he cannot afford a laptop. What's wrong with the magic industry?

What are tricks that a hobbyist could learn to surprise other magicians? I am not looking for magician foolers, rather for tricks with an unexpected twist that they don't see coming, even if it might not fool them.

Do you think that escalated quickly by harpan ong will be a good trick to do for a competion. It’s not easy to do so shows technical skill and do you think that it’s generally a magician fooler. Did it fool you when you first saw it.

It fooled me, and it certainly is a beauty of a routine, and it can be done with an ordinary deck, best of all if you master it, you'll be taking your card magic to whole new level.

Hi Craig, Hope your well Two questions: 1. I've started learning back in time by Jay Sankey but I'm struggling to do the part where you slip slop shuffle because I don't know to spread them without the participant seeing that their card is on top? Any advice? 2. I have a samsung phone and was planning on getting an iphone as my next phone so I could get toxic+ and rdigit, but as the ios update broke these, I probably won't bother. I have a calculator app on my samsung phone which toxic works on. Do you think performing with this calculator will be fine as it looks a bit different or will it just fly over the audience, especially as most people use iphone so won't know what the samsung calculator looks like anyway. Also did the ios update break toxic+ or just toxic, because if toxic+ still works I may get iphone as my next phone? Thanks as always 😀 🪄

R digit Dosent really work anymore after the swiping update. And I personally think toxic plus is so so so much better than the toxic force. Because first of all you can’t do the date and exact tike with toxic force and I personally have had people ask am I using a trick calculator with normal toxic but that’s never happened with toxic plus
