I will never get over Sony pictures making the director cut out all the gore/plot due to them being scared of “backlash” I get it the Wisconsin incident was tragic but it shouldn’t effect a movie that came out 4 years later. This movie could have been great had they ignored the complaints and did their own thing 😞

I agree but another reason I heard was that the father of the girl who got stabbed was upset about the movie so Sony cut many scenes out to make it more respectful. The movie takes place in 2018, 4 years after the stabbings, so I think the father thought Sony was profiting off this and allegedly was planning to sue if the movie was too similar to the incident. I think the movie should've taken place in 2009 when Slender man first came out as I'm sure this wouldn't have been an issue. I heard that the poor girl who got stabbed has made a full recovery which is good.

for those who don't know. The Slenderman was not trying to control tom to make him jump. he was just trying to show him his newly learned jazz-hands technique but Tom did not like it... he surely needs more practice but he's trying his best.

Honestly wish they showed more slender in the film. Or at least more things about him. Like having their ears ring when they are too close to him. Or seeing him off to the side every now and then. They needed more gore and slender.

Honestly Slenderman shows up a bit too much and in too much plain site. In marble hornets, the first and original Slenderman series on video. Slenderman only shows up for three minutes Total out of like 8 hours of footage.

It's not just the scenes of the trailer. There's also a deleted scene of Mr Jensen with a gun in his house trying to see if someone invaded his home, while the girls were hiding in the closet, it was the most suspenseful scene. It's not in the trailer, but it happens in the scene where the girls take Katie's laptop on Mr. Jensen house.

honestly this movie could be my favorite horror movie because I like the character and the plot of the movie but because they cut so many important scenes and mostly everything that was brutal and left only some scenes that don't connect properly it became for me the weakest movie I've seen, like it shows an incomplete movie and without anything horror, although it should be horror, it's better they didn't make it, if you do something, do it right, the movie could be a very good movie because it's the only film about this character, but it was destroyed only because a father of one of those psychopaths commented and those at Sony were afraid not to promote this, but they still made a movie of this
