When you have 1 year work permit, I guess you can also apply for visitors visa to be a back up so when you get the 1 year work permit then it serves as a back up whilst you want waiting to get response from your PR application. People do that and it works for them though.

Yes, some people do but I dont advise that. You wont be able to work while u are on a visitors visa, unless u have a rich uncle in Canada that is willing to help u out while waiting for ur pr decision?

Hello, Im taking a 2 year vocational program and you mentioned that it is equivalent to a 3 year work permit. May I know if this policy recently changed? i heard news that you should check the program itself because it’s possible that only 1 year PGWP will be given to you regardless thats its a 2 year program. Hi, That all depends on what your plan for immigration is. Check the different immigration streams and which one you want to pursue. Then make a decision based on that. PS: Have a plan B
