Slide House Visit - Learning pTile - Drift Spot Lincoln

So Dave and I ventured down to Spalding to Slide House. It's been almost 2 years since we last visited and they have replaced the surface with P-Tile, the only surface of this kind in the UK.
As relatively rwd RC drift newbies, we've only been using carpet so far, so what are the differences? What do you need to change? What did we change and how did we progress?
Take a watch, but I feel from the beginning to the end of the video our progression is evident!

Really enjoying your videos. Have followed on a similar path myself into the hobby starting with 4wd progressing to a d4 and now 2 x d5 chassis and rmx 2.0 and grk evo 2. absolutely love the rwd sideways life and was planning to come to slide house for there xmas event on the 28th was great to see what the track looked like and see how slippy the ptile was. Yo the purple 240 what is the setup? Did they have a turbo setup that I've seen on KZbin? Sweet vid

Its not someone in our club. But I THINK its an mc1 with all accuvance setup. Very good car

I believe Slide House imported it from Japan. There are other alternatives, check out what Bracknell Drift are doing, and join such groups as 'Scale Track Builders' on Facebook. :)

Is this surface waxed?

No. Its Ptile its like a ceramic tile. Used mainly in Japan on their circuits

Our track uses p tile but it’s waxed to slow us down

Its the surface. More common in Japan and the only circuit in the UK with it. Most UK are resin or painted concrete. Its like a thin tile which doesn't heat up so its consistent drafting etc...
