My dorm actually banned Uber drivers from entering after some drivers got in and stole some laptops. Uber did nothing to help the dorm as far as I'm aware.
@nickguerrera29283 жыл бұрын
If a McDonald's employee steals from your dorm do you expect mcdonalds to do something? I understand its not a fair comparison, but cmon...
@hanro503 жыл бұрын
@@nickguerrera2928 I expect McDonald's to give me the information I need about the employee that broke into my place of residence. Your right, it's not like McDonald's has GPS trackers on all of their employees and keep detailed logs about past orders someone has made unlike Uber... since all thier employees have smartphones... which they need for the Uber app.
@nickguerrera29283 жыл бұрын
@@hanro50 thats true. I guess i assumed you meant something you didnt. I misunderstood. I thought you were holding Uber responsible. You just wanted simple help. U get it now.
@nickguerrera29283 жыл бұрын
I get it now
@hanro503 жыл бұрын
@@nickguerrera2928 Yea, the dorm didn't expect Uber to give compensation. They merely wanted the information on the drivers who broke in. Unfortunately Uber failed to provide this information, which lead to the dorm tightening up security. This meant that you had to wait at the dorm's front entrance for your food and or lift. Which was annoying since my room was far away from the front.

What is a scandal is the fact that for decades the taxi licenses have been used for speculation. The taxi industry has actually been under-regulated with regards to the licenses, where everybody could buy them and sell them at the price they wanted. I feel really sorry for the taxi drivers, as it’s not their fault. Now, once said that, I rather pay my money to a company like Uber, that has improved the service -introducing the mobile app, knowing beforehand the price of the ride, etc- than to a bank or investor VULTURE that is stilling everybody’s money for no reason. Sorry but NO WAY. AND the way of fixing this is not over-regulating Uber, but forcing those VULTURES to sell the licenses at a reasonable cheap price and force them to loose money if needed. To be clear, I love free market and free competition, BUT I hate cheaters and speculators, and when it comes to these, I do believe that regulations need to be in place to force these vultures out of the system. They don’t improve anything, they don add value to society, they are there just to increase the prices of everything and make us pay for it. Outrageous that the system still allows this to happen.
