Great post! I know that I would be able to do this. You just have a knack of making what is seemingly complicated entirely doable. I found myself instantly confident by the end of this video. Curious, how are you guys barking under the Corona virus situation? Here in Southern California we have basically found ourselves unable to go out and replace or select a new garment. Dining out has become a thing of the past already. Let alone the action of going out.

I'm glad that you haven't experienced going to the market and actually finding empty pillaged shelves and lines of grumpy people throughout the isles. Do you always taper by working on the outer seam or how do you decide which seam to work on?

I like working on both if possible. If I can’t I do whatever seam isn’t top stitched.

I didn't catch if you narrowed from the inseam or the outer seam of the pants? Also, I used to do this to my pants when I was in high school in the 1980s and I would start 1" from the top of the inseam and go all of the way down to the ankle for my new, narrower line. Thoughts?

I recommend doing it on both seams. But most casual pants have a topstitch on the inseam so for a quick fix I just do the outseam.
