I love how both of them take time to breathe. Having the patience to find a pocket feels so much more satisfying than saying everything you have to say immediately and getting stuck

Get ya sh!t off Doc!! I can see the passion in you man. Always good to see Slim and Frantick perform casually at a high level.

Slim has always been the cream of the crop to me. I remember I used to ride with Dragon House heavy when I really started getting into dance, but when I saw Nonstop lose to Slim in how the west won that was when I first became aware of the difference between dancing with intent/musical connection or expression, and throwing tricks with little to no method. Unfortunately though, I haven't labbed in a minute. I have some footage if you're interested in watching. The scene is just so different now, and because the spaces (that used to be prevalent) where there were other dancers working on their craft are becoming more and more secluded, I find it difficult to have the same passion for it that I used to - granted "Whatever you give to the dance the dance will give twice as much back" - Skeeter Rabbit (rip) Maybe I just haven't been giving enough🤦🏾♂️

Slim boogie is one of a kind but in my Opinion Marquese Scott aka NONstop is the evolution of popping. He's the Les twins of this whole style. He innovated and wasn't stuck reenacting the 80s style popping from the OGs but as like most unconventional dancers he doesn't get the props he deserves.

I’m glad you finally broke this one down… they’ve been going at it since Mr. fantastic was throwing house party jam sessions to dubstep funny bones vs MGF, it’s crazy the amount of rounds these dudes have put out against each other.

Slim and frantick always inspire me to push. We are all individuals who love this thing and we should study and push to even reach a 10th of their ability. My mind takes me to some place where I just leave my problems and enjoy the moment. We can all reach the flow state just don't be lazy get to work. I love Ur videos bro I always get knowledge I can use that all the other poppers don't know because they didn't take the time to watch , learn and push stay safe ppl

THE DOCCCCCCCC, wassup Doc. Ngl, this was such a high level battle, I was on the edge the whole time fr but the DJ really had me heated from the times he decided to change the beat, to how he transitioned things, and I know it probably wasn't his fault but even the set up crashing had me heated. AMAzing vid from the DOCCCCCCCCCC

Dopest animation & storytelling. Slim Boogie summoned snake 'Manda' in 2nd round and using his technique to painting all the lines of the Manda then switched between the Manda & the ninja(based on Sasuke or Orochimaru)riding on the Manda. And in the first round Slim Boogie jumped into the snake, beat it,get out of it then sealed it and passed the energy to Boogie Frantick. Boogie Frantick played with the energy ball, threw it on ground and make himself a running man in 2D world (floor is the screen) and escaped.

First off I am definitely not a elite dancer lol, but I think that being aware of the intricate inner workings of your body and how you understand music, plus how your own mind works is super important to reaching that elite level. It's one thing to see a move or combo, but what a lot of people are missing is the knowledge of what muscles are being activated or the placement of the arms and legs as you are transitioning into the next set of movements and capturing the energy and tempo of the song all at the same time. The ones who are elite or even want to simply grasp that level will toil tirelessly on the foundation of what there body is capable of and then build a tower pass the milky way on different ways they can use it. Like how wild is your imagination and can you see the shadow man of yourself dancing in your mind. Can you pick apart and dissect yourself down to the nitty gritty and discard everything that's unnecessary to fill it with new material and more importantly are you gonna continue to climb that tower even when you can't see what's up ahead or will you stay stagnate chilling on the ledge. I also see a lot of people and myself included get throwed by the audience or the judges or thinking about what combo is gonna look best when it gets posted, but I have also discovered that its about how in control you are. How in control of the moment can you be in that minute round or 3 min lab clip or whatever, because in that moment nobody else is there but you. We manifest our own worlds when we take the floor and It's our job as dancers to visually blend with the music and bring back what we are seeing to the other side and make it make sense. Like I don't know about yall but I will be straight up in a different universe altogether when a certain type of song comes on and I want to explore what's there. So I do my best to show what that looks like. Realistically not a lot of people are going to go to that extent, but like the homie Captain Yami Sukehiro from the Black Bulls I'm trying to surpass my limits and discover a new side of myself that I didn't know I had. Slim Boogie and Boogie Frantick will forever be inspirations for me because they are still climbing that tower when they don't even have to anymore but it's like they are just saying that we can do it too if we love dancing enough. I said what I said lol

Doc with all due respect to your knowledge of the dance and particularly for these two cats, please stop criticizing other dancers so heavily and SHOW them what ur talking about. Point out at the moment of impact what you see on the screen. I think it would be more beneficial than brow beating. Much love to you in what ur trying to do on this channel. 🤘
