The problem I think greenteck has with most dancers is the control within the movements not just killing beat or knowing when to accent certain beats. Control is what makes greenteck better and more entertaining than most dancers

It's going to be nice to see Slim & Jaja battle together. Now as for the judges like a lot of other people have said idk why Omarion was selected to be a judge when homeboy really hasn't been present in the battle scene to my knowledge. Salif on the other hand I feel can be a decent judge cuz he has been in the battle scene and battled a couple times so homie could have an eye to catch some things that a lot of the crowd might miss. Looks like NoScript and Kefton are gonna be the strongest judges on the panel this year.

Salif was definitely a marketing move on their part to attract more attention towards the event. From a IG perspective/people that don't follow dance much/MJ fan base he's entertaining to watch. From a person like myself who follows dance I definitely feel he hasn't earned his stripes to even be on a judge panel. He definitely needs to do less moonwalking and more battling before he's even in the convo of being a judge.... Respectfully.
@makesmartTROYces2 жыл бұрын
Salif makes wayyyyyyyyyy more sense than Omarion tho. Like that's a pure marketing move, like absolutely no doubt about it. Salif has been in the scene and he's battled at concept in the past, yeah. If they wanted marketing it would just make more sense to have him as a special guest and put him on all the posters and stuff, they would have gotten it either way. Its not asinine for him to be a judge.
@warreeeng2 жыл бұрын
@@makesmartTROYces yeah if we're comparing him to Omarion then yes. Although in this case I can think of several other veteran dancers that have a better outlook on judging dance as whole. Salif isn't a bad dancer by any means but he's still young and should put his time in the game. I think people tend to forget guys like Les Twins and Slim Boogie are 30+ years old and have been in the game for quite a while and built a name way before IG dancers were a thing.
@makesmartTROYces2 жыл бұрын
@@warreeeng i agree with you. There's even many many many younger dancers even younger than him, that I think that I think are qualified for judging, for example, Junior Yudat. I belive that since there is no criteria for judging its all up to the judges preference, but usually the best most respected battlers are judges. I understand Salif may not be qualified.... but WTF is Omarion doing up here😂😂 I think if anyone is a marketing tool it would be him. Salif is a French dancer, who has been in the French scene. Omarion is an American artist who hasn't even been in the American battle or dance scene at all. I think it was wack for Metal to focus on Salif instead of Omarion who was clearly the least qualified, and the most obvious marketing tool.
@metalspalace2 жыл бұрын
Lol yea super wack. Omarion who we all know is the "obvious marketing tool" and for valid reasons because he's fucking Omarion haha. Might not mean shit to any real dancer but most definitely is a certified name to have for an event period strictly talking about business. Salif ain't noooooowhere close to that respectfully. If you a salif fan or taking his workshop on that day just say that then. Idc which one I spoke on for the video because I already spoke about both of them in the live stream you clearly ain't peep
@makesmartTROYces2 жыл бұрын
@@metalspalace I mean in Paris he'll bring the non dancers out because he's a social media sensation. He's a big deal to the youth in Paris. He'll fill seats up. Froma business perspective it makes sense, once again I think making him a guest would do the same exact thing. But being good doesn't always equal being a good critic. Certain things just don't equal out. Michael Jordan is a good example he's the 2nd best player of all time but he might be the worst GM of all time as well😂😂 Greentek is a perfect example, he's a terrific dancer but he's biased as hell when it comes to judging. Hence him getting slapped a few years ago by one of the twins

Nahhh you talking about Salif... what is this brotha OMARION doing😂😂 You're focusing on the wrong dude. Omarion would get cooked to a crisp by every single dancer in the arena, including Salif. Let's talk about the more obvious. Omarion hasn't even present in the dance scene let alone the French dance scene at all prior to this year. I saw him in a video with Slim but that's about it. Salif at least is a French dancer who's been in the game for a bit and has been in fusion concept. Omarion had a little fun battle with Majid on stage like 8 years ago but he's qualified to be a judge now?????
