Here's my theory: First of all, someone brought plorts of saber slime from Slime Rancher 2 to The Wilds and accidentally scattered them around, so that the whole place is covered with huge amounts of saber slime. So the main area of saber slime is Powderfall Bluffs. The same person who sent us the ship in Slime Rancher 2. Do you like my theory?

Looking at the plort market screen. Seems like there would be a bunch of slimes if you count the boxes. But after playing for a couple days and almost finding them all. Seems like they didn't add a bunch more. Seems like there isn't much more than there was last game. There is a bunch of slimes that are gone from the 1st game also. Number 1 had 16 slimes and Number 2 has 15 Why in the world did they not include a bunch more slimes from the 1st game, it's like they added some and took some away. It was almost disappointing.
