I only ever found a single one in the Powderfall Bluffs and I've played about 20 hours. Do they only start spawning elsewhere after you see one for the first time there?

Edit: As a few people have pointed out, it seems like the yolky slime will spawn on any island - not just Powderfall Bluffs! So my guess is that the only requirement for them to spawn is that they're near a chicken spawn nest.

This slime legit drove me insane. I tried to find in on stream, and after 3 hours of looking literally everywhere, no even 1 yolky spawned! The worst part it, I found like 4 gold slimes and 2 luckies in the span of 30 minutes during that stream! I swear the game hates me 💀

I found my first yolky slime in the rainbow fields. At first I thought it was a cotton slime, but it was a yolky slime and now it's chilling in a corral in my conservatory. Thanks for letting me know more about it. Idk but in my opinion I think the honey slimes are the cutest!❤

Also, suggestion, I suggest to keep the Yolky Slime in a chicken coop! Because I heard somewhere that they do well in chicken coops, sorry if I’m wrong though!

I got one as my first slime in the game - just outside of the farm down by the first area where you find the kitty slimes. It surprised the crap out of me cuz I hadn't seen it before. and it was within 5 minutes of my playthrough, that is currently on my channel.

honestly I can't blame people for not doing content for this game, as it's in early access and usually not getting good reputation due to slow updates and.. well, overall being inferior to the previous game. I do enjoy it tho, I have lots of fun and chill time playing it :3 If you know any channels who create tips+tricks or guide content for SR2 pls let me know, I am looking for advanced tips but there is so much lacking in this scene ;w;

Have you or anyone else here found a way to farm for these guys? Like are there any biomes in particular that have a higher concentration of hen nests for example? I've sat by a few different nests for a few hours at a time and have yet to see a yolky in game

I think it might just be a random spawn chance, which makes them pretty rare

I don't think there's a way to really 'farm' them (at least not at this juncture), you just have to get lucky. I spent several hours actively searching to no avail finding one...and just as I was about to complain, I found one! About an hour or two later, while doing who-knows-what and not actively looking for one, I found another.

There's no a real reason to farm them, but you can always find a spot with several nests, clean them (The yolky slime spawns from the nest like a chicken, does not spawn like a regular slime), and wait until you get one

Funnily enough in slime rancher 2, this was the third slime i saw in the game before tabby. I later found 2 more but i discarded them when exploring... I've regretted this as I can not find anymore.

@Andrés De León just put flutter gordos around they don't move too much and are super cute. I have a gordo of each tipe at the entrance( exept ringtal they have no fav food and rng hates me🥲). So the gordo you see that type of slime will be inside. Kinda like living signs 😅

I found a yolky slime by the portal to the half pink half blue place but my inventory was full so when I went to dump it and in the refinery link nearby then it was gone when I came back but then I went to a weird place where the chicken coop and I found the slime again and tangle slimes

With the update installed, go to the ember valley on the north side where you found the crystal gordo, you will need one boom, tabby, and batty plort each so make sure to bring those with. I'm not sure if you want a hint or straight up spoiler, but if you stand on the same platform with the geyser the crystal gordo was sitting on you can discover the entrance from that platform. You've gone too far if you leave the canyon the crystal gordo is in. Happy hunting!
